Special worship of Guru Gorakhnath Ji to be performed in the morning at Gorakhnath temple
Gorakhpur : Gorakhpeethadhiswar and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Saturday evening, will ride a chariot to lead the traditional Vijayadashami procession leaving from the Gorakhnath temple. Peetadhishwar will board his vehicle after receiving the blessings of Guru Gorakshanath.
The procession will conclude at the Mansarovar Ramlila Ground, where Gorakhpeethadhiswar will worship and coronate Lord Shri Ram.
The Vijayadashmi procession from Gorakhpeeth, held every year, is remarkable for its role in fostering social harmony and embodying the spirit of public welfare. People from all walks of life actively participate in this traditional event, led by Gorakhpeethadhiswar, with the procession warmly welcomed by members of the minority community as well.
Vijayadashmi also offers an opportunity to witness the uniqueness of Gorakshapeeth and the expansive nature of its mission on a larger scale. One of the distinctive features of the procession is the enthusiastic reception by the minority community, who stand with garlands near the main gate of Gorakhnath temple, showcasing a beautiful gesture of unity and inclusivity.
Following the tradition of Gorakshapeeth, this year as well, the grand Vijayadashami procession led by Gorakshapeethadhiswar Yogi Adityanath will take place on Saturday evening from the Gorakhnath temple. On this auspicious day, Gorakshapeethadhiswar will don special attire in accordance with the Nath sect tradition. Peethadheeshwar will board his vehicle after taking blessings from Guru Gorakshanath. The procession of Gorakshpeethadhishwar will reach Mansarovar Temple amidst the sounds of trumpets, drums, and band music.
After reaching here, Gorakshpeethadhishwar Yogi Adityanath will worship Devadhidev Mahadev at the Mansarovar temple attached to the Gorakshpeeth. After this, his procession will reach Mansarovar Ramlila Maidan. He will perform the coronation of Lord Shri Ram in the ongoing Ramlila here. Along with this, Aarti will also be performed after worshiping Lord Shri Ram, Mata Janaki, Laxman, and Hanuman.
On the morning of Vijayadashami, Gorakshapeethadhiswar Yogi Adityanath will perform a special worship of Guru Gorakhnath, along with offering prayers to all the idols within the temple premises. Following the rituals, he will also bless devotees during the traditional Tilakotsav ceremony held at the Gorakhnath temple. On the evening of Vijayadashami, a traditional feast will also be organized in the Gorakhnath temple, in which a large number of people from all communities participate.
CM Yogi will also settle disputes of saints at Gorkashpeeth. According to the tradition of Nathpanth, every year on the occasion of Vijayadashami, the disputes of saints are settled by the Peethadheeshwar in Gorakhnath temple. Chief Minister and Gorakshpeethadhishwar Yogi Adityanath is also the president of Nathpanth’s apex body, Akhil Bharatvarshi Avadhoot Bhesh Barah Panth Yogi Mahasabha, and his position is that of a magistrate in the organization. Before the settlement of disputes, saints will worship Yogi Adityanath in the form of a deity (Patra Dev) as per tradition.
