Increase Progress in RDSS Scheme Works – DISCOM Chairman

Jaipur : DISCOM Chairman and Managing Director of Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam, Ms. Aarti Dogra, has directed to accelerate the ongoing works of power system improvement and strengthening under the RDSS scheme in the state. She stated that contractors in the field should increase the number of teams and laborers to expedite the work and achieve targets on time.

Ms. Dogra was reviewing the progress of RDSS works being carried out in various districts under Jaipur DISCOM through video conferencing at Vidyut Bhawan on Saturday. She instructed that in districts where the progress of work is not as per the targets, notices should be issued to the contractor companies. Further, contractor firms that fail to show progress despite repeated warnings should face blacklisting proceedings.

The DISCOM Chairman stated that priority should be given to addressing voltage issues on feeders so that benefits can be achieved during the Rabi season. Regarding the construction of 33 kV and 11 kV feeders under the scheme, where there are disputes over Right of Way (RoW), they should be resolved by bringing them to the attention of the concerned district administration. Cabling and HVDS work should be carried out on feeders with high losses. Additionally, efforts to establish EV charging stations should be intensified.

Ms. Dogra instructed that at locations where the 33 kV GSS system has been established under the scheme, the designated capacity transformer should be installed and charged immediately to ensure uninterrupted supply during the Rabi season. She also suggested installing capacitors on pump sets of agricultural consumers to resolve the issue of low voltage.

During the review, she evaluated the progress of RDSS works in Dausa, Karauli, Bharatpur, and Baran circles. Under the scheme, works worth approximately ₹775 crore are being carried out in these four circles. The meeting was attended by Jaipur DISCOM Director (Technical) Mr. S.S. Nehra, Additional Chief Engineer (PPM) Mr. R.K. Sharma, Superintendent Engineer (RDSS) Mr. Rajeev Madan, and other engineers.
