Mizoram Governor Participates in Silver Jubilee Celebration of Hornbill Festival
Aizawl : At the invitation of Nagaland Governor Shri La Ganesan, Mizoram Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati participated in the ongoing Hornbill Festival and its 25th-anniversary celebration held at the Naga Heritage Village, Kisama, in Kohima District, Nagaland.

The event showcased the rich cultural heritage of various Naga tribes and also included performances and exhibits by participants from outside the state, highlighting diverse traditions and lifestyles. The Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Pu Sharingain Longkumer, and Pu A. Pangjung Jamir, MLA & Advisor for Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, were among the notable dignitaries present at the event.

The Hornbill Festival, organized by the Nagaland Department of State Tourism and the Department of Art & Culture, has been celebrated annually since December 1, 2000. It takes place from December 1 to 10 at Kisama Heritage Village, located 12 kilometers from Kohima.
Later in the afternoon, the Mizoram Governor also visited the 2nd World War Museum and the Kohima War Cemetery, marking a day of cultural and historical significance.
