220 couples from across the district tied the knot in a mass marriage program under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana at Mendka Dobra temple complex in Dantewada district headquarters. One of these couples is from Purvarti village. Purvarti is the village of Naxalites Hidma and Deva, after the change of government, the picture of Purvarti is changing. After the opening of the camp, the people of Purvarti are living without fear and the government’s schemes are changing their lives, due to which now a soldier posted in Purvarti has started a new life by marrying a Naxal victim. Among these 220 couples, two couples from Niyad Nella Nar village have also vowed to stay together for seven lives. After the Vishnu Dev Sai government came to power in Chhattisgarh, the morale of the villagers is constantly increasing due to the continuous action against Naxalites.

Under the leadership of the state’s successful Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the Chhattisgarh government is running many schemes for the benefit of villages, poor and farmers. By benefiting from these welfare schemes, poor families are getting an opportunity to move towards development. In this mass Kanya Vivah in a remote area of ​​Dantewada district, 220 couples are entering married life today. All this has come to fruition due to the Chief Minister Kanyadan Yojana of the state government, which shows the government’s commitment to serve the poor families. Apart from this, the field staff of the Women and Child Development Department also deserve congratulations who benefited from mass marriage by registering marriageable boys and girls from various villages, paras, hamlets and mohallas.

Two couples from Niyyad Nella Nar village Dhurli also benefited from the mass marriage.
Among the couples who accepted the Vedic mantras and the sacred vows of Saptapadi in the program, two couples were residents of Niyyad Nella Nar village Dhurli. These included Ms. Seema Bhaskar and Sundari Telam. Seema is 10th pass and is employed in Nagar Palika Parishad Bade Bacheli. Seema is married to Ramesh Bhaskar who is a farmer. Similarly, Sundari Telam is a labourer, Dhannu Kunjam is also a labourer. Both the newly married couples praised this scheme of the government and said that it is useful for the poor and the needy. They said that this scheme has not only freed us from the heavy expenses of marriage, but also provides support for the expenses after marriage due to the amount of Rs 35 thousand coming into the girl’s account after marriage.
