Swift Implementation of Budget Announcements with Complete Transparency: Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma

Jaipur : Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma has directed the implementation of the 2024-25 budget announcements on the ground before the upcoming budget. He emphasized that officials should complete development projects with full accountability and transparency, propelling Rajasthan rapidly towards the goal of becoming a developed state.

On Sunday, Shri Sharma was addressing a review meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence on the identified budget announcements for 2024-25. During the meeting, he conducted a detailed review of the various announcements from 32 departments and provided necessary instructions to officials. He stated that the state government is working swiftly to provide electricity and water to the people. In this regard, the Brahmani River Dam Project will ensure adequate water availability from southern to western Rajasthan. He instructed the Water Resources Department to expedite work on the project.

Initiate Preparations for the Summer Contingency Plan

The Chief Minister directed the officials of the Public Health and Engineering Department to start working on the Summer Contingency Plan for better management of drinking water facilities during the upcoming summer season. He suggested assessing areas dependent on hand pumps and tube wells for water supply and installing additional tube wells and hand pumps as needed. He also instructed the effective implementation of the Karmabhoomi se Matrubhoomi program to enhance groundwater levels.

Take Strict Action for Industrial Areas with Inactive Projects

Shri Sharma instructed the officials of the Industries Department to conduct a thorough survey of industrial areas and issue notices to owners who have not initiated work within the stipulated timeframe. He also directed the re-auctioning of such areas. Additionally, he instructed the Rajasthan Housing Board officials to address the disposal of residential properties.

Regular Inspections of ITI Institutes

The Chief Minister reviewed the establishment of stone markets in Beawar, Kota, Jalore, Rajsamand, and Sikandra, as well as the upgradation of stone clusters. He instructed the Industries Department to develop basic facilities for traders and emphasized regular inspections of ITI institutes.

Ensure Compliance with Traffic Rules

To effectively control road accidents, Shri Sharma directed the launch of a public awareness campaign regarding traffic rules. He also instructed the Transport Department to take strict action against overspeeding vehicles. Shri Sharma suggested creating a guideline indicating speed limits for passenger vehicles and ensuring strict compliance. He further directed the development of a uniform model for small and large bus stands across the state.

Speed Up Facilities for Differently-Abled and Marginalized Groups

The Chief Minister instructed officials to expedite the work on the Swavlamban Siddha Center of Excellence in Jamdoli for the benefit of differently-abled individuals and marginalized communities. He also directed an increase in the number of de-addiction centers and the expansion of hostels and paying guest facilities for working women.

Expedite Public Works Department Projects

While reviewing the Public Works Department, the Chief Minister instructed officials to release tenders for similar projects simultaneously to save time and expedite public utility projects. Expressing displeasure over delays in the water treatment plant for polluted water in the Sanganer area of Jaipur, Shri Sharma directed strict action against the responsible officials. He also reviewed detailed proposals for the construction of flyovers at Imli Phatak on Sahkar Marg and Riddhi-Siddhi Chauraha and provided necessary directions.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Shri Sudhansh Pant, Additional Chief Secretary (Water Resources) Shri Abhay Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) Shri Akhil Arora, Additional Chief Secretary (Forest and Environment) Smt. Aparna Arora, Additional Chief Secretary (CM Office) Shri Shikhar Agarwal, Additional Chief Secretary (Social Justice and Empowerment) Shri Kuldeep Ranka, Principal Secretary (CM Office) Shri Alok Gupta, and other senior officials. Additionally, the Energy Additional Chief Secretary Shri Alok VC participated virtually.
