54th Anniversary of Pranab Kanya Sangha: Empowering Women Through Self-Realization and Social Progress

It was the 54^th. Anniversary, on the auspicious Sukhla Tritwiya, being celebrated at the Headquarter of Pranab Kanya Sangha in Hridaypur of the Barasat Area of West Bengal. It was on this auspicious day in the year 1971, commemorating the Birthday of Swami Vedananandajee, the General Secretary of Bharat Sevashram Sangha, his holiness Swami Adyaitanandajee had established the Pranab Kanya Sangha after being bestowed with the holy blessings of Lord Pranabanandajee Maharaj.

The vision & mission of Pranab Kanya Sangha is the upbringing, and empowerment of the destitute’ s (female). Sannyasini Gyanadanandamoyee, who happens to be the last of the living, “FIVE DAUGHTERS’”, is the President of the Organisation.

Today’s coveted programme commenced at 10.30 hours with prayers, offerings (Yagnas), which was attended by a large number of devotees.

The Honourable vice president sannyasini amritanandamoyee – fondly known as “ranima” joined soon after she had arrived from chuchura, hooghly. the fervour of the holy proceedings had enlightened the body & mind of the attendees – resonating the doctrines of the sangha, self-realisation; universal emancipation in our real life, supposedly self-realisation, self-rememberance & self-consciousness, by the sources of our strength, namely patience, fortitude & endurance, in the attainment of real virtues – heroism, virility, manliness, and aspiration for emancipation.

While the chanting’s were detoxifying the impurities, the self-reliant activities of the Sangha Members, the striking feature’s – the principles of right faith, right knowledge and right conduct to resolve many social ills and reform the society were found to have brought about social progress on issues such as slavery of women, equality of status to women, and social equality.

A brief interval in the afternoon marked the distribution of Prasada’s which was cherished by all the attendees.

In the evening a cultural programme was presented by the students of the Sangha, demonstrating articulate skills in different form of Yoga’s. The senior most students have demonstrated that Determination, Dedication, and Discipline manifests ‘Self-Esteem’.

The audience was spell-bound in glimpsing the “Body Maneuvering” mechanisms of the children and their most scientific effects in curing several physical deformities.

The cultural programme was concluded by the ‘Thanks Giving’ message of the president Sannyasini Gyanadanandamoyee, who reiterated the need of Yoga’s in the day-to-day eventualities of a woman.

Rani Ma delivered a mesmerising melody on Ramayana & Mahabharata – some of which were unknown to many. It was a Linear Succession of the musical tones & tales which were perceived by the listeners as a single entity.
