Flying Officer Damini Deshmukh to Shower Petals on Kartavya Path on Republic Day
New Delhi : At the main Republic Day celebrations on Kartavya Path in the capital, Maharashtra’s pride, Flying Officer Damini Deshmukh, will shower petals on the national flag after the flag hoisting ceremony.

Hailing from Devdi village in Wadwani Taluka of Beed District, Damini Dilip Deshmukh serves as a Flying Officer in the Indian Air Force. She will also hold the prestigious responsibility of being the ‘Parade Commander’ during the grand ceremony on Kartavya Path in Delhi.
Damini’s father, Justice Dilip Deshmukh, is the former Charity Commissioner of the Pune Division. Damini has carried forward her family’s legacy of social and educational contributions with her hard work and dedication. In 2019, she achieved remarkable success in the national-level Common Administrative Examination, securing her position as a Flying Officer in the Indian Air Force.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Damini has excelled in various sports and activities, including horse riding, karate, yoga, rifle shooting, kho-kho, and volleyball. She is a black belt in karate and a gold medalist in the discipline.
