Fisheries and Ports Minister Nitesh Rane Inspects Trombay Jetty
Mumbai : Fisheries and Ports Minister Nitesh Rane conducted an inspection of the fishermen’s jetty in Trombay and reviewed its current status. During the visit, the Fisheries Deputy Commissioner of Mumbai Suburban District, Sharvari Randive, along with officials from the department and the Mumbai Port Trust, were present.
The existing jetty in Trombay will be expanded, and a new 300-meter long jetty will be constructed at the site. Additionally, facilities such as a shed for net weaving, toilets, and cleanliness areas will be built. A detailed project plan for this work, costing ₹60.75 crore, has been prepared and submitted to NABARD. The jetty will be constructed with financial assistance from NABARD, as informed during the inspection. Minister Rane took a detailed review of the project.
