Expansion of Healthcare Facilities in Jashpur Benefits Residents of Jharkhand
The expansion of healthcare services in Jashpur district, in line with the vision of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, is also benefiting residents of the neighboring state of Jharkhand. The Lodam Community Health Center (CHC), located near the Jharkhand border and about 26 kilometers from Jashpur district headquarters, has become a crucial healthcare destination for people from nearby villages of Jharkhand. Additionally, Ayushman cards are also being issued at this facility, enabling patients to avail of healthcare benefits.
According to BPM Ismahima Tigga of Lodam CHC, people from villages like Manjha Toli, Raidih, and Turuma in Jharkhand frequently visit the center due to its superior medical services. Over the past year, 62 successful normal deliveries of Jharkhand residents have been conducted here, along with the treatment of 58 typhoid patients. The facility also provides X-ray, blood tests, Ayushman card services, normal delivery assistance, and treatment for other ailments.
In line with CM Sai’s directives, special efforts are being made to enhance healthcare infrastructure in the district. The current state budget includes provisions for the establishment of a medical college in Kunkuri, a new government nursing college in Jashpur, a government physiotherapy college, and a natural medicine center in Jashpur. These initiatives aim to further strengthen healthcare accessibility and improve medical services in the region.
