CM Bhajanlal Sharma Calls All-Party Meet to Prioritize Rajasthan’s Security Amid Tensions

Jaipur : Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma emphasized that, in view of the prevailing tensions between India and Pakistan, the safety of Rajasthan and its residents remains the top priority of the State Government. He stated that the government is taking key decisions after analyzing the situation to ensure all necessary arrangements are in place. He also stressed that cooperation from all political parties is crucial in this endeavor.

Shri Sharma made these remarks while addressing an all-party meeting held at the Chief Minister’s Office on Saturday. He called on all parties to work in unity and harmony for the greater good of the state, assuring them that the government is fully prepared to face any eventuality.

Filling Vacant Posts and Financial Support to Border Districts:
The Chief Minister announced that, keeping in mind the human resource needs in border districts, efforts are underway to immediately fill all vacant posts. He further stated that revolving funds have been allocated for the border districts of Barmer, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Sriganganagar, Jodhpur, Hanumangarh, and Phalodi to manage emergency needs such as transport, shelter, medicine, equipment, and food for the affected.

Shri Sharma informed that additional personnel from the Rajasthan Armed Constabulary (RAC), disaster relief forces, and Civil Defence units have been deployed to strengthen security in these districts. Ministers and secretaries in charge of border districts are maintaining constant contact and coordination with local administrations. Police and administrative teams are responding swiftly and effectively to any information received.

Strengthening of Siren System:
The Chief Minister said that the administration is ensuring full compliance with blackout protocols and movement restrictions based on security agency directives in border districts. Citizens have been cooperating well in this regard. Instructions have also been issued to avoid bright lighting and fireworks during weddings and other celebrations. A complete ban has been imposed on flying private drones. District administrations have been directed to strengthen siren systems and raise public awareness about different siren signals through TV channels, radio, social media, and other platforms.

Enhanced Security at Key Locations and Cybersecurity Measures:
The Chief Minister informed that heightened security is being maintained at public places, markets, tourist sites, bus stands, and railway stations. Religious and tourist sites, along with key installations such as dams, power plants, and refineries, are under constant surveillance. Necessary precautions are also being taken to protect against cyberattacks.

Shri Sharma appealed to all political parties to stay in touch with their workers and volunteers, and to cooperate in blood donation drives, rescue operations, blackout drills, and other preparedness measures initiated by the state government. He reiterated that collective vigilance and caution are crucial to the safety of the state. He urged people to remain alert, monitor even minor incidents, prevent the spread of rumors, and promptly inform the government of any gaps or urgent needs.

All Parties Stand United with the Government:
During the meeting, leaders from various political parties affirmed their full support to the State Government during this critical time. They appreciated the central government’s responsive actions and the preparedness measures undertaken by both the central and state governments. Key suggestions included: physical verification and optimized use of available resources in different districts, sharing verified information with the public through official channels, involving NCC, Scouts, and nursing students in medical and emergency tasks, and organizing joint meetings with elected representatives, officials, and social organizations in rural border areas.

Prominent attendees included: Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shri Jogaram Patel, Chief Government Whip Shri Jogeshwar Garg, Congress representative and Leader of Opposition Shri Tikaram Jully, MLA Shri Rafiq Khan, Dr. Subhash Garg from the Rashtriya Lok Dal, Shri Manoj Kumar from the Bahujan Samaj Party, and Shri Umesh Meena from the Bharat Adivasi Party.
