Tourists Should Explore Historical Sites through the ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Circuit’ – Divisional Commissioner Dr. Chandrakant Pulkundwar

Pune : The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced a special train named the ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Circuit’ to celebrate India’s historical and cultural heritage and to acquaint the public with the life and legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. This tour, under the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train initiative, will commence on June 9, 2025.

Divisional Commissioner Dr. Chandrakant Pulkundwar has urged tourists to take advantage of this unique opportunity to experience Maharashtra’s historical, religious, and culturally significant destinations.

This five-day journey will include visits to key historical sites related to the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, along with programs based on his history. The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation aims to promote these religious and historical landmarks connected with Shivaji Maharaj’s glorious legacy on a broader scale through the Bharat Gaurav Train.

The initiative is being undertaken under the leadership of Tourism Minister Shambhuraj Desai and Minister of State Indranil Naik.

During the tour, tourists will be provided with necessary facilities at forts and historical sites to ensure a comfortable and enriching experience.
