Redeveloped Savda Railway Station to Benefit Farmers with New Fertilizer and Banana Transport Rake Facilities – Union Minister Raksha Khadse

Jalgaon : The redeveloped Savda Railway Station in Jalgaon district was virtually inaugurated today by Prime Minister Narendra Modi under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Speaking at the event, Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Khadse said that rake facilities have now been established at Savda station, which will prove beneficial for transporting fertilizers and bananas, supporting both passengers and local farmers.

The event was attended by MLA Amol Jawale, District Collector Ayush Prasad, Divisional Railway Manager of Bhusawal Division Iti Pandey, along with railway officials, local citizens, and a large number of students.

Minister Khadse highlighted that road, rail, and air connectivity is now fully developed in Jalgaon, accelerating the district’s growth. She noted that swift transportation of agricultural goods is now possible from Savda, Raver, and Bhusawal, and the new rake point in Savda will facilitate fertilizer movement. Additionally, she said a modern station with advanced amenities has been built for passengers, and efforts are underway to ensure more train halts at the station.

She also revealed that a banana cluster is being developed in Savda for the benefit of banana-growing farmers, adding that Prime Minister Modi’s vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) gives railways and road infrastructure a crucial role.

MLA Amol Jawale credited Minister Khadse’s consistent efforts for enabling major developmental projects in the district. He noted that special facilities have been introduced at Savda and Raver stations for agricultural transport, which is a major boost for local farmers.

District Collector Ayush Prasad emphasized that along with passenger amenities, agricultural transport infrastructure is being enhanced in the district. He also mentioned that Jalgaon’s inclusion in the Gati Shakti Corridor will bring even more benefits.

DRM Iti Pandey of Bhusawal Railway Division shared that out of the 12 stations inaugurated in Maharashtra today, 5 are under the Bhusawal division, including Savda, which has now been made divyang-friendly (accessible to persons with disabilities) and offers improved facilities for farmers.
