Inauguration of Sandipani School and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Will Set New Milestones in Education: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that today is a significant day for Ratlam district as it has received two major gifts in the field of education—the inauguration of the Sandipani School building and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Alot. These institutions will prove to be vital steps in advancing education. He said that students studying in government schools across Madhya Pradesh are consistently achieving new heights in education, and under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state is progressing rapidly in this sector.

Dr. Yadav, along with Karnataka Governor Shri Thawar Chand Gehlot and Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, inaugurated the PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya-2, including hostels and staff quarters constructed at a cost of ₹38.4 crore, and the Sandipani School building, constructed at a cost of ₹35.11 crore.

The Chief Minister highlighted that in the 2025 academic session, students from government schools outperformed those from private schools in Class 10 and 12 board exams. Even in competitive exams like NEET and JEE, government school students delivered outstanding results. He assured that no effort will be spared in strengthening the education sector. He also announced the construction of a connecting road from the main road to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.

Dr. Yadav emphasized that development work is being undertaken in various sectors under the Prime Minister’s leadership. Numerous irrigation projects have been launched, including the Rivers Interlinking Project, inspired by Shri Modi’s visionary leadership. The Parvati-Chambal-Kalisindh river-linking project has been approved for the welfare of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. This will provide drinking and irrigation water to several villages. Currently, about 55 lakh hectares are under irrigation in Madhya Pradesh. The government is also working towards making farmers self-reliant in energy through solar pump schemes, which will help them eliminate electricity bills. Efforts are underway to promote tourism, and Madhya Pradesh now ranks third in the country in this sector. A tourism site will also be developed at the confluence of the Kshipra and Chambal rivers in Alot.

Karnataka Governor Shri Thawar Chand Gehlot noted that this is the second Navodaya Vidyalaya in Ratlam, the first being in Kalukheda. Navodaya, Kendriya, and Excellence Schools across the country are playing a vital role in the educational and moral development of students. He emphasized that education is the foundation of social and economic growth and that literacy rates in India are steadily increasing, with Navodaya and Kendriya Vidyalayas making key contributions.

Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan said that this second Navodaya Vidyalaya in Alot aligns with the National Education Policy 2020, which aims to provide employment-oriented education. Students from rural backgrounds studying in Navodaya Vidyalayas are qualifying for exams like JEE and NEET and gaining admission to prestigious institutions. Currently, around 1.53 crore students are enrolled in Madhya Pradesh schools. With the cooperation of the central and state governments, AI education has been introduced in these schools. Schools are pillars of society, and Madhya Pradesh’s new generation will be empowered to build a developed state.

On this occasion, School Education Minister Shri Rao Uday Pratap Singh, MSME Minister Shri Chaitanya Kashyap, MP Shri Anil Firojiya, and Alot MLA Dr. Chintamani Malviya were present. The Chief Minister and guests were welcomed with traditional turbans, shawls, and paintings.

The Madhya Pradesh Government, aiming to provide world-class and well-equipped education, launched CM Rise Schools in 2022–23, now being recognized as Maharshi Sandipani Schools. The Sandipani School initiative is an ambitious project designed to provide high-quality education to students from underprivileged backgrounds.

At Sandipani School in Alot, more than 1,600 students from surrounding areas will be enrolled and benefit from quality education. Students coming from 1 km to 15 km away will have access to transport facilities. To promote holistic development, teachers in various subjects along with music, dance, computer, and physical education instructors, as well as psychologists and career counselors, have also been appointed.
