Animal Husbandry Department should provide land for Central Administrative Building at Gadhinglaj – Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar
Mumbai : In Gadhinglaj city of Kolhapur district, the Animal Husbandry Department owns 3.06 acres of land in a central location. Out of this, 0.75 hectares should be made available by the department for the construction of a central administrative building. Furthermore, as per the restructuring of the Animal Husbandry Department, a separate floor in the proposed building should be allocated for the offices of the newly created Taluka Deputy Commissioner of Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development. The remaining land will continue to be under the Animal Husbandry Department. These directives were issued by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
A meeting regarding the allocation of land by the Animal Husbandry Department for the central administrative building at Gadhinglaj, Kolhapur district, was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in his committee room at the Vidhan Bhavan.
Present at the meeting were Minister of Medical Education Hasan Mushrif, Minister of Animal Husbandry Pankaja Munde, MLA Ashutosh Kale, Additional Chief Secretary (Planning) and Development Commissioner Dr. Rajgopal Deora, Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) O.P. Gupta, Secretary of the Animal Husbandry Department Ramaswami A., Pune Divisional Commissioner Chandrakant Pulkundwar, Kolhapur District Collector Amol Yedge, Commissioner of Animal Husbandry Dr. Praveen Kumar Devre (via video conferencing), and other concerned officials.
Gadhinglaj is a sub-divisional office town in Kolhapur district. Important government offices such as the Sub-Divisional Officer, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department, Executive Engineer of the Water Resources Department, and offices related to Cooperation and Agriculture are currently operating out of rented premises in this area. With the decision to allocate land from the Animal Husbandry Department, it will now be possible to construct a unified central administrative complex for all major departments in the heart of the city. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar assured that the necessary funding will be provided for this purpose.
