Review Meeting on Road Projects in Ajmer Zone — Deputy CM Diya Kumari Orders Swift Implementation
Road Projects to be Fast-Tracked, Direct Benefit to the Public – Deputy CM Diya Kumari
Jaipur : Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari chaired a review meeting on Tuesday at the Secretariat to assess the progress of road infrastructure projects in the Ajmer Zone. She directed officials to expedite the implementation of announcements made in the 2024–25 Budget and to immediately complete the tendering process for projects announced in the 2025–26 Budget so that work can begin without delay. She made it clear that any form of laxity in development work will not be tolerated.
The review covered road and building construction projects in Ajmer, Bhilwara, Nagaur, Didwana, and Beawar districts under the Ajmer Zone. The Deputy CM instructed officials to remain vigilant, especially during the monsoon season, and to ensure that any damaged roads are promptly repaired to prevent inconvenience to the public.
She noted that weekly zone-wise review meetings are being held to monitor the progress of Public Works Department (PWD) projects. This initiative is aimed at enhancing transparency and accountability.
During the meeting, detailed reviews were conducted on various categories of road and infrastructure projects, including those under NHAI, National Highways (NH), Rajasthan State Road Development Corporation (RSRDC), Rajasthan State Highway Authority, patchable, non-patchable, and missing link roads. Building construction works were also assessed.
The meeting was attended by ACS PWD Praveen Gupta, PWD Secretary D.R. Meghwal, Chief Engineer T.C. Gupta, and other senior officials from the headquarters and the concerned districts, many of whom joined virtually.
