A Key Step Toward Establishing Madhya Pradesh as a Global Textile Hub: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav Visits TEXMAS Headquarters

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited the headquarters of the Textile Merchants Group (TEXMAS) and held discussions with leading textile traders of Dubai on various aspects related to industry and investment. On the second day The high-level dialogue aimed to strengthen trade, innovation, and investment opportunities in the textile sector under the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).

TEXMAS was established in 1990 under the patronage of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The organization has played a vital role in developing Dubai as a textile re-export hub. In the presence of Chairman Mr. Nasir Akhoon, Vice Chairman Mr. Vinod Nagda, and other senior officials of Indian origin, both sides agreed to accelerate bilateral trade under CEPA.

Madhya Pradesh: The Next Destination for Textile Investment

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed the TEXMAS representatives that Madhya Pradesh is among the leading textile-producing states in India. World-class textile clusters such as the PM MITRA Park (Dhar) are fully ready for global investors. He briefed them on the state’s new Industrial Policy 2025, which includes provisions such as land availability, capital subsidies, SGST reimbursement, and labor facilitation.

Collaboration in Digital Textile Innovation

Appreciating TEXMAS’s adoption of e-commerce, RFID-based inventory systems, and digital logistics solutions, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reiterated the state’s commitment to promoting smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0 in Madhya Pradesh. He invited UAE-based companies for technological collaboration in these areas.

Focus on Green Textiles and Sustainable Production

The discussion also covered green initiatives in textile production and logistics aligned with EU/US standards. Dr. Yadav highlighted that Madhya Pradesh is rapidly emerging in areas like green textiles and organic cotton.

Madhya Pradesh Ready for I2U2 Collaborations

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that Madhya Pradesh is fully prepared for investments in key focus areas of I2U2 (India, Israel, UAE, USA)—namely clean tech, food logistics, and industrial innovation. He invited organizations like TEXMAS to initiate pilot projects in the state.

Opportunities for Young Entrepreneurs in Textiles

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasized that the state government has introduced a dedicated startup policy to support the next generation of textile entrepreneurs through training, licensing guidance, and capital assistance. He urged TEXMAS to connect with young entrepreneurs and organize B2B interactions.

It is noteworthy that this initiative by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is not merely aimed at encouraging investment but also represents a visionary step toward elevating India-UAE textile trade relations to new heights. With collaboration from global organizations like TEXMAS, the Government of Madhya Pradesh is now moving steadily toward realizing its vision of making the state a global hub for the textile industry.
