Special Preventive Campaign: Excise Team’s Major Operation – 60 Cartons of Illegal Liquor Seized, 5 Accused Arrested

Jaipur : Under the directions of Excise Commissioner Mr. Shivprasad Nakate, a special preventive campaign is being run across the state to curb the production, storage, transportation, and sale of illegal liquor. As part of this campaign, a joint operation by the Excise Preventive Teams of Jaipur City and Jaipur Rural led to the seizure of 60 cartons of illicit liquor bearing fake holograms and the arrest of five accused individuals.

The Additional Excise Commissioner of Jaipur Zone stated that in compliance with the Excise Commissioner’s instructions, illegal liquor with counterfeit holograms was seized in Jaipur. The excise enforcement team recovered 30 cartons of country liquor with fake holograms from a Scorpio vehicle in the Transport Nagar area. Additionally, in the Jaipur rural area, 6 cartons (288 bottles) of country liquor were seized from a scooter. In the Jhotwara area, 305 bottles of RML liquor were recovered, and 26 bottles of Ghoomar brand illicit liquor were confiscated from the Dadi Ka Phatak locality in Jaipur.

Five individuals—Mukesh Jangid, Arjun Singh, Rakesh Jat, Varun Singh, and Raju Yadav—were arrested in connection with these seizures.

Based on information received from this operation, two more raids were carried out in Chomu, resulting in the seizure of 23 cartons and 121 bottles of illicit liquor. A female accused was also arrested in Chomu.

These actions were conducted under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner of the Excise Preventive Team, Jaipur, and led by District Excise Officer Devika Tomar, Assistant Excise Officers Shivkumar Singh and Pradeep Bishnoi, Excise Inspector Jaipur Jitendra Singh Shekhawat, Excise Inspector Chaksu Gagan Yadav, and Officer-in-Charge Narendra Singh along with their teams.
