State-Level Saturation Campaign Award Ceremony: Rajasthan Government Committed to Inclusive Growth and Economic Prosperity – CM Bhajanlal Sharma
Jaipur : Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma stated that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the government has launched transformative initiatives like the Aspirational Districts and Aspirational Blocks Program, inspired by the philosophies of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. These programs aim to uplift the last person in the queue and accelerate progress towards a Developed India and Developed Rajasthan.
Speaking at the State-Level Saturation Campaign Award Ceremony held at HCM RIPA, the Chief Minister said that the government is working with full commitment to institutionalize inclusion and integrate good governance as a core work ethic.
Bridging Regional Disparities Through Aspirational Districts Program
CM Sharma highlighted that in January 2018, the Prime Minister initiated the Aspirational Districts Program to eliminate regional imbalances and bring backward districts into the mainstream of development. Five districts of Rajasthan—Baran, Jaisalmer, Dholpur, Karauli, and Sirohi—were included in this initiative, focusing on five key areas:
- Health and nutrition
- Education
- Agriculture and water resources
- Financial inclusion and skill development
- Basic infrastructure
In 2023, the Aspirational Blocks Program was launched, with 27 blocks from Rajasthan participating.
Ensuring Social Inclusion and Economic Prosperity
The CM stated that the identified districts and blocks have shown significant progress on the indicators set by NITI Aayog, effectively ensuring the social inclusion and economic growth of citizens. The Saturation Campaign, conducted between July and September 2024, saw massive success across the country, ensuring the benefits of government schemes reached every last individual.
Gurugolwalkar Aspirational Block Development Yojana Accelerates Progress
Highlighting state-level initiatives, Shri Sharma mentioned the launch of the Gurugolwalkar Aspirational Block Development Scheme, under which one block from each district has been selected—totaling 41 aspirational blocks. These focus on innovation in key sectors such as:
- Education
- Health and Nutrition
- Agriculture and Allied Services
- Infrastructure
- Skill and Social Development
The objective is to elevate them to the category of developed blocks.
Antyodaya at the Core of State Government’s Schemes
The Chief Minister spotlighted various people-centric schemes aligned with the Antyodaya principle, including:
- Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Garibi Mukt Gram Yojana
- Dr. Ambedkar Adarsh Gram Vikas Yojana
- Govind Guru Tribal Regional Development Scheme
- Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Antyodaya Sambal Fortnight
He emphasized that these programs play a critical role in uplifting marginalized communities, achieving the vision of inclusive development.
Vision Document 2047 for Sustainable Growth
CM Sharma revealed that the government is preparing a ‘Developed Rajasthan/2047’ Vision Document, focusing on long-term planning aligned with future population needs. This document will be the foundation for economic prosperity, sustainable development, and inclusive progress.
‘Hariyalo Rajasthan’ – A Bold Step Toward Environmental Conservation
Inspired by the Prime Minister’s ‘One Tree in Mother’s Name’ campaign, the state launched the Hariyalo Rajasthan Mega Campaign. With public participation, this initiative not only promotes environmental protection but also creates an emotional bond with nature. A record 2.5 crore saplings were planted across the state on the occasion of Hariyali Teej, with a target of 10 crore plantations this year.
Awards for Districts and Blocks for Outstanding Performance
During the ceremony, the CM honored 5 districts and 23 blocks for their outstanding performance in achieving saturation in the 6 key indicators set by NITI Aayog.
- Karauli district received the Gold Medal for achieving full saturation in all 6 indicators.
- Baran, Dholpur, Jaisalmer, and Sirohi received Bronze Medals for meeting 4 of the 6 indicators.
- Under the Aspirational Blocks Program, Jayal (Nagaur), Rani (Pali), and Khairwara (Udaipur) blocks received Gold Medals, while others were awarded Silver, Bronze, and Certificates of Merit based on their performance.
- Seven former District Collectors were also felicitated for their contributions.
Acknowledgements by Senior Officials
The event was attended by Chief Secretary Shri Sudhansh Pant and Additional Secretary of NITI Aayog Shri Rohit Kumar, who elaborated on the implementation, positive outcomes, and impact of the Aspirational Districts and Blocks programs. Senior officials including Shrimati Shreya Guha, Director General of HCM RIPA, and Shri Bhawani Singh Detha, Principal Secretary of the Planning Department, along with other district and department representatives, were also present.
