Singhastha 2028: Guidance of Senior Officers from Previous Ujjain Events to be Taken : CM Dr. Yadav

Bhopal, Sept 2025 : Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Singhastha 2028 is a prestigious event, and the experience of senior administrative and police officers who served in Ujjain during the past two Singhastha festivals (2004 and 2016) will be utilized. He added that arrangements made during the Maha Kumbh at Prayagraj have also been studied. The Madhya Pradesh government is committed to ensuring that Singhastha 2028 becomes an exemplary event in terms of convenience for devotees, accident-free management, accommodation, transportation, food facilities, and disaster management.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing senior officers regarding Singhastha 2028 arrangements at Samatva Bhavan, CM House, on Friday evening. Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain, Director General of Police Shri Kailash Makwana, and other senior officials were present. The CM informed that a detailed meeting was also held on Tuesday and such reviews and consultations will continue. Responsibilities have been allocated to departments, and preparations will be reviewed regularly.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that necessary cooperation is also being received from relevant departments of the Central Government. Recently, General Managers of different railway zones met him regarding the availability and expansion of rail facilities for Singhastha. Focus is being given to the development of ghats and nearby amenities to ensure smooth bathing arrangements for devotees. The Tourism Department and private sector will arrange hotels, while residential facilities for police and departmental officials will also be ensured.

Key Directives Issued by CM Dr. Yadav to Officials:

  •  Continuous review of Singhastha-related works; conduct department-wise meetings.
  •  Organize training sessions for officers and staff.
  •  Use modern technology in security arrangements on priority.
  •  Initiate development works at various temple complexes.
  •  Take guidance and services of experienced officers.
  •  Study the use of AI for crowd management.
  •  Finalize plans for cultural activities to be organized at Singhastha for international visitors.
