Relief for Flood-Hit Jodhpur a Top Priority, Says Minister Madan Dilawar
Jodhpur, Sept 2025 : Education Minister and Jodhpur District In-Charge Minister Madan Dilawar on Saturday chaired a meeting at the Marwar International Centre auditorium to review the situation in flood-affected areas and ongoing relief measures.
Relief with sensitivity
The Minister emphasized that providing timely relief to affected families is the state government’s highest priority and instructed the administration to work with full sensitivity. Expressing condolences to families who lost their loved ones, he directed officials to expedite the compensation approval process.
Health measures stressed
The meeting discussed monsoon rainfall data, relief work in affected areas, availability of health facilities, and proposals for repairing damaged buildings. Dilawar instructed the health department to organize medical camps to prevent potential diseases due to waterlogging and ensure timely fogging operations.
Farmers’ compensation prioritized
Recognizing the plight of farmers, the Minister placed special emphasis on assessing crop losses. He directed the revenue and agriculture departments to conduct crop surveys (girdawari) transparently and promptly so that farmers can benefit from compensation and crop insurance.
“Farmers are the backbone of our economy, and the government stands firmly with them at every step,” Dilawar said.
Swift restoration of schools and hospitals
The Minister also directed immediate repairs of rain-damaged schools, hospitals, and Anganwadi centers to ensure that essential services remain uninterrupted. He called upon officials of all departments to work in close coordination and ensure that relief and assistance reach every affected household.
The meeting was attended by city MLA Atul Bhansali, Osian MLA Bhairaram Siol, Shergarh MLA Babu Singh Rathore, Revenue Records Branch In-Charge Officer Dr. Shilpa Singh, along with officials from various departments and public representatives.
