Chief Minister Inaugurates 3 Police Stations Including Narayan Vihar – Crime Control and Peace Maintenance Are Our Top Priority 

Jaipur, Sept 2025 : The Chief Minister, Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, stated that upholding the rule of law and striking hard against criminals is the highest priority of the state government. Development is possible only in a society with peace and a secure environment. Our government has taken several revolutionary steps to modernize and strengthen the police system in the state, so that the common people can live in a fear-free environment. Shri Sharma was addressing the inauguration ceremony of 3 new police stations, including Narayan Vihar, on Monday. He said that this is not just the inauguration of a police building, but a strong step towards creating a safe state for the common people.

He mentioned that as soon as our government came to power, we formed the Anti-Gangster Task Force and a Special Investigation Team (SIT) for investigating paper leak cases. Major steps have been taken to strengthen the police mechanism.

The Chief Minister said that controlling crime and maintaining peace in the state is our government’s priority. The state government has taken various decisions for effective policing, including the establishment of 2 additional offices of Superintendent of Police and 2 offices of Deputy Superintendent of Police, the creation of 22 new police stations, the upgrading of 8 police outposts to stations, and the approval to open 35 new police outposts. He said that an Anti-Gangsters Task Force has been formed under the leadership of the Additional Director General of the Crime Branch, and for the formation of an Anti-Narcotics Task Force, a new police station has been established at the Jaipur headquarters, along with 9 new outposts, for which 255 posts have been created.

The Chief Minister said that 65 Anti-Romeo Squads have been formed in the state, which are active in preventing crimes in schools, colleges, markets, religious sites, malls, and bus stands. Three women’s battalions—Padmini, Kali Bai, and Amrita Devi—have been formed, and 2,216 posts have been approved for them. He said that for the safety of women and girls, 500 Kalika patrolling units have been created in the state. Additionally, complaints are being resolved promptly through the Women’s Helpline 1090 and the RajCop app.

Shri Sharma said that the police department has computerized the criminal records of criminals in all police stations. The list of arrested persons and missing people is being made available on the Rajasthan Police web portal. He said that to improve the police response time, 25 interceptor vehicles, 750 motorcycles, and 500 police mobile unit vehicles have been provided. The Regional Forensic Science Laboratories (FSL) have been strengthened. He mentioned that 123 new posts have been created in the FSL to ensure timely and accurate investigations. Additionally, the honorarium of Home Guard volunteers has been increased by 10-10 percent over the last two years, and the recruitment process has been accelerated by creating 2,000 new constable posts in the police force.

He said that concrete steps have been taken in the direction of improving the level of crimes and complaints in the state, as a result of which the graph of crime in the state is continuously declining. There has been a 19.45 percent decrease in crimes from 2023 to 2025 and a 13.90 percent decrease from 2024 to 2025. There has been a 17.80 percent decrease in atrocities against Scheduled Castes and an 18.77 percent decrease in cases of atrocities against Scheduled Tribes. Additionally, there has been a 9.24 percent decrease in cases of atrocities against women.

Before this, the Chief Minister cut the ribbon and virtually inaugurated the Narayan Vihar Police Station as well as the Patrakar Colony and Khora Bisal police stations. During this, the Chief Minister also interacted with the security companions.

On this occasion, the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Local Self-Government, Shri Jhabar Singh Kharra, the Director General of Police, Shri Rajiv Kumar Sharma, senior police officials, CLG members, security companions, and a large number of common people were present.
