Pledge to Crocodile Rehabilitation in Maa Narmada Nears Completion : CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has stated that the state government is moving forward to fulfill its resolution of resettling the crocodile, considered a symbol of the sacred river Maa Narmada, back into its waters. The flow of the Narmada River provides an ideal habitat for crocodiles. On Thursday, October 30, crocodiles will be released into the water of Maa Narmada. The Chief Minister said the state government is committed to the conservation of all living beings. The population of aquatic species such as gharials and crocodiles, along with other wildlife, is steadily increasing in Madhya Pradesh. He said that gharials were released into the Chambal River last year. Dr. Yadav shared this information during an interaction with the media at Atal Path.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that a campaign to conserve all wildlife species is underway across the state. In Indian culture, humans and wildlife are mutually interdependent. The vehicle of Maa Narmada will soon be seen joyfully moving through her pristine waters. While releasing crocodiles into the river, special care will be taken to ensure they are placed in areas where they do not pose any danger to people. The presence of crocodiles in the Narmada River will be auspicious for the sacred river and will strengthen the vitality of its flow. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will visit Narmada Nagar in Khandwa district on October 30.
