Jaipur, Nov 2025 — In compliance with the directions of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the Jaipur district administration remains alert and committed to reducing road accidents and ensuring adherence to road safety standards. District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni has instructed officials to prepare an effective, result-oriented action plan to prevent road accidents across Jaipur district and ensure its strict implementation.
At the District Road Safety and Traffic Management Committee meeting held on Monday at the collectorate auditorium, Dr. Soni reviewed recent road accidents with seriousness and discussed measures to prevent their recurrence. He warned officers that any form of negligence in road safety will not be tolerated, and personal responsibility of the concerned officials will be fixed.
The Collector directed officials to ensure strict compliance with road safety protocols and to formulate a concrete strategy to tackle traffic congestion in Jaipur. Instructions were given to remove encroachments from service lanes, take strict action against illegal roadside parking, close unauthorized cuts on highways, enforce the lane-driving system, strengthen traffic aid posts, and ensure adequate lighting at T-points.
Officials of the National Highways Authority were directed to close median cuts and expedite flyover construction. The administration also appealed to the public to avoid placing any promotional material on road signage and to replace old and damaged signboards with new ones.
Dr. Soni emphasised strict action against violators of traffic rules. He instructed officials to install speed-limit signage on national and state highways in both urban and rural areas, identify and fix black spots, and take firm action against unauthorized parking and vehicles without reflector tape.
The meeting also discussed issues such as GPS tracking of vehicles carrying inflammable materials, action against route violators, monitoring for drunk driving at toll plazas, and placing reflective bands on stray cattle.
