Innovation in education is strengthening the path of a Viksit Uttar Pradesh

A state-level conference was organized at the Yojana Bhawan with the goal of establishing Uttar Pradesh as a developed state by 2047

A new direction emerged from the state-level conference “Innovation in Education, the Foundation of Progress — Viksit Uttar Pradesh @2047”

Quality education, technological innovation, and a teaching system aligned with global standards will form the foundation of a Viksit UP 2047

From the Additional Chief Secretary to NITI Aayog and global institutions, meaningful discussion took place on a collective strategy for the “UP @2047” vision

Lucknow, Nov 2025 : With the goal of establishing Uttar Pradesh as a developed state by the year 2047, a state-level conference titled “Innovation in Education, the Foundation of Progress — Viksit Uttar Pradesh @2047” was organized on Thursday at Yojana Bhawan.

The conference included deep discussions on the future of Uttar Pradesh’s education system, capacity building for teachers, the use of new technologies, improving foundational learning outcomes, and the role of UP in the vision of Viskit Bharat 2047. It was also highlighted that recent reforms in the state’s education system are now showing solid impact on the ground, whether through smart classrooms, e-learning resources, or digital facilities for teacher training.

Additional Chief Secretary Parthasarathi Sen Sharma said that to fulfill the dream of a developed Uttar Pradesh, education must be reorganized on the basis of transparency, quality, equal opportunity, and innovation. He said that teacher training, global-level teaching methods, and improving core learning outcomes are the main pillars of the education reform journey.

Director General of School Education Monika Rani said that this is an era where technological interventions, digital content, skill-based teaching, and international exposure have become essential elements of the education system. She said that if this pace of innovation continues, UP will become the country’s leading education model in the coming years.

Advisor to the UP Chief Minister Awanish Awasthi and Education Advisor Prof. D. P. Singh said in one voice that the youth power of Uttar Pradesh is the core energy of Viksit Bharat 2047, and without quality education this goal cannot be achieved. They said that a developed UP is not just a government plan but a collective resolve of society and policymakers.

This important conference, jointly organized by the Basic and Secondary Education Departments, was inaugurated jointly by Additional Chief Secretary for Basic and Secondary Education Parthasarathi Sen Sharma, Director General of School Education Mrs. Monika Rani, Chief Minister’s Advisor Awanish Awasthi, Chief Minister’s Education Advisor Prof. D. P. Singh, and NITI Aayog (Government of India) Education Cell OSD Colonel Jitendra Verma.

A special feature of the conference was the presence of representatives from several prestigious institutions working in the fields of educational innovation and foundational learning.

These included representatives and CEOs from UNICEF, the Language and Learning Foundation, Bharti Airtel Foundation, Pratham Education Foundation, Central Square Foundation, Educate Girls Foundation, the Centre for Civil Society, and Nelco (Tata Group).
