Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani Announces Development Works Worth ₹4.5 Crore in Ajmer

Jaipur, November 2025 : Assembly Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani on Thursday inaugurated several development projects in Ajmer. He launched two road construction projects worth a total of ₹79 lakh. Both roads will be constructed by the Public Works Department, which will significantly improve traffic convenience and connectivity in the area.

In continuation of these development efforts, Shri Devnani also inaugurated the reconstruction of damaged drainage channels. This project, costing ₹3.34 crore, will be executed by the Ajmer Development Authority. The construction of new drains will help resolve the problem of waterlogging and ensure safe and well-organised basic infrastructure for local residents.

The Assembly Speaker stated that the pace of basic development works across the city is steadily increasing. Major projects worth crores of rupees are progressing rapidly in sectors such as roads, drainage systems, drinking water, electricity, and healthcare. He added that to strengthen the city’s drainage network, large-scale drain construction projects are underway, and numerous road projects are in progress.

Shri Devnani further said that plans have been made to construct three major reservoirs to address the city’s drinking water challenges. Once completed, these reservoirs will ensure adequate and regular water supply to residents. He also informed that to enhance electricity supply, a 132 kV GSS (Grid Substation) will be built at Hathibhata. Continuous development work is also being undertaken to improve healthcare services. A 50-bed satellite hospital has been set up in the Kotda area, and at Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital, the Speaker’s Help Desk is providing ongoing support to strengthen emergency services.

Speaking on tourism development, he said that the proposed leopard safari project in Ajmer will offer the city a unique eco-tourism attraction. Additionally, beautification work for the Varun Sagar Lake is underway, including the installation of a statue of Varun Dev prior to the Cheti Chand festival. A multi-storey library for students and the construction of a new entry gate to offer visitors a pleasant experience upon entering Ajmer are also significant steps towards the city’s comprehensive development.

He said that upon completion of these projects, Ajmer will be transformed into a more beautiful, clean, and exemplary city. Shri Devnani urged all citizens to participate in this journey of development.
