Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Vows to Fight for More Central Funds, Promises Major Development Initiatives in Warangal

Hyderabad, Dec 2025: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday asserted that he is prepared to take the fight to the Union government to secure more funds for the state, emphasizing the need for greater financial support to implement welfare schemes and development projects.

Addressing a public gathering after laying foundation stones for several development works at Narsampet in Warangal district, the Chief Minister appealed to the people to stand with him, stating, “If the people support me, I am ready to fight in Delhi to get more funds for Telangana.” He added that the state government is actively undertaking numerous welfare initiatives and developmental works, which require substantial resources, and urged the Centre to extend its support to help achieve the state’s goals.

Continuing his criticism of the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government, CM Revanth Reddy said that opposition leaders remained obstinate even after their defeat in the Jubilee Hills by-election. He urged the opposition to maintain decency in public discourse, recalling that BRS leaders had previously warned farmers against cultivating paddy, claiming it would amount to “hanging themselves.” He further alleged that the previous regime created obstacles in distributing ration cards to the needy and focused more on building their economic empire than on state development.

Highlighting the importance of education, the Chief Minister emphasized that it is the key to personal and societal transformation. “We have filled 60,000 vacancies in the first year after coming to power and will soon release notifications to fill another 40,000 government jobs,” he said, encouraging unemployed youth to prepare diligently for these opportunities.

On the upcoming Gram Panchayat elections, CM Revanth Reddy urged candidates to refrain from spending excessively to win votes and instead focus on gaining the trust of the people. He stressed the importance of raising awareness on village development issues and electing sarpanches who are willing to coordinate with Ministers and MLAs for the welfare of their constituencies.

Speaking about Telangana’s economic and infrastructural vision, the Chief Minister highlighted the Telangana Rising Global Summit as a platform to showcase the state as a prime destination for global investment. He said the government is prioritizing the development of a robust network of ports, airports, roads, and communication technologies to enhance connectivity and economic growth.

Revanth Reddy assured that Warangal would soon be developed to match Hyderabad’s standards. “We will construct an outer ring road, underground drainage system, and an airport for Warangal, similar to Hyderabad. These projects will commence by March 31,” he announced, underscoring his commitment to expanding infrastructure and elevating the quality of life in the region.

The Chief Minister’s remarks underscored his administration’s focus on transparent governance, education, employment, and infrastructure development, while reinforcing his determination to secure greater central support for Telangana’s continued growth and prosperity.
