“Rising Rajasthan: 70% Promises Delivered in Two Years, Says CM Bhajanlal Sharma”
Jaipur, December 2025 : Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma said that the state government’s two years of good governance, development and trust have begun a solid transformation in the direction and condition of the state. He said that of the works we had promised to complete in five years for the common people, 70 percent of the works have already been completed in just two years. Of the budget announcements made in these two years, 73 percent announcements are either completed or in progress.
Shri Sharma was addressing a press briefing on Friday at the Bhagwat Singh Mehta Auditorium of OTS regarding the state government’s two-year tenure. He said that Rajasthan has reached the category of the country’s best performer state. The state holds first place in 11 national schemes, second place in 5 schemes, and third place in 9 schemes. This is the result of our government’s commitment, hard work and the people’s trust.
State Government accelerated drinking water schemes in two years —
The Chief Minister said that the previous government kept the ambitious ERCP project stuck. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, work orders worth ₹26,000 crore have been issued to bring the Ram Jal Setu Link Project onto the ground. He said that work on the DPR of the project to provide Yamuna water to Churu, Jhunjhunu and Sikar is being done rapidly. The Prime Minister started the Jal Jeevan Mission, but under the previous government, irregularities at every level created major obstacles in providing clean water to the poor in villages and hamlets. He said those who have consumed the rights of the people of Rajasthan will not be spared.
He said that under JJM, in two years, ₹10,482 crore has been spent to provide tap water to 13 lakh 59 thousand rural families. Under the “Karmabhoomi se Matrabhumi Abhiyan,” more than 14 thousand groundwater harvesting structures have been constructed. Under Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari, 3,64,968 water conservation works have been completed. He said that ₹647 crore has been spent for reconstruction of the Firozpur Feeder, and a budget of ₹3,400 crore has been given for the renovation of IGNP canals and construction of concrete water channels.
State’s power generation capacity crossed 30,000 MW in two years —
Shri Sharma said that in two years, the state’s power generation capacity has increased by 6,363 MW, reaching 30,525 MW. To develop 42,438 MW capacity, MoUs worth ₹1,93,000 crore have been signed for joint ventures with central PSUs, and a joint venture company with an investment of ₹1,20,000 crore has already been formed.
State Government developed 39,891 km of roads in two years —
He said that the government spent ₹27,238 crore in two years and developed 39,891 km of roads. To strengthen the rural road network, 8,557 km of missing-link roads have been constructed. Under PMGSY, 3,139 km of roads have been upgraded, strengthened and renovated. He said DPR work is progressing rapidly for the construction of 9 greenfield expressways of 2,750 km. Approval has been given for 78 Atal Pragati Paths in villages with more than 10,000 population at a cost of ₹320 crore, and 249 Atal Pragati Paths at a cost of ₹492 crore in villages with over 5,000 population.
Gas cylinder for ₹450; 15 crore meals served under Annapurna Rasoi —
Shri Sharma said that beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana and BPL families are receiving LPG cylinders for just ₹450. More than 47 lakh people have voluntarily given up their NFSA entitlement. This allowed 70 lakh eligible families to join the scheme and benefit. He said that 15 crore food plates have been served under the Annapurna Rasoi Yojana. Social pension has been increased by ₹250 to ₹1,250 per month, and more than 10 lakh new pensions have been sanctioned. Under PM Awas Yojana (Rural), approval has been given for 7.13 lakh houses. More than 2 lakh land deeds have been issued to nomadic, semi-nomadic and de-notified tribes. Under the Svamitva Yojana, drone surveys have been completed in more than 8,000 villages and 13.7 lakh ownership cards have been issued.
More than 76 lakh farmers received Samman Nidhi; bonus paid on wheat procurement —
He said that to the central government’s PM Kisan Samman Nidhi of ₹6,000, the state government has added ₹3,000, raising it to ₹9,000. More than 76 lakh farmers have received ₹10,432 crore directly into their accounts. A bonus of more than ₹471 crore has been given to 2,66,000 farmers on wheat procurement. In two years, ₹44,000 crore interest-free crop loans have been issued. Under PM Kusum, 52,000 solar pump-sets have been installed and ₹822 crore subsidy provided. He said farmers have received electricity bill subsidies of ₹44,558 crore. Under the Mukhyamantri Mangla Pashu Bima Yojana, 20 lakh animals of 9 lakh livestock owners have been registered. Free treatment for animals is being given through 1,962 mobile veterinary units. Under the Rajasthan Cooperative Gopal Credit Card Scheme, interest-free loans of ₹634 crore have been approved for more than 84,000 families. Grants to cowsheds increased by 25%, and up to 90% assistance is being given for new Nandishalas.
Women empowerment strengthened in two years —
He said the PM Matru Vandana Yojana benefit has been increased from ₹5,000 to ₹6,500. So far, ₹531 crore has been given to 9.92 lakh pregnant women. Under the CM Matrutva Poshan Yojana, ₹170 crore benefit has been given to more than 5 lakh second-birth mothers. Training has been provided to 19.45 lakh women, and over 12 lakh of them have become “Lakhpati Didis.” Under the Lado Protsahan Yojana, 4.6 lakh girls have benefitted. Under the Kalibai Bheel Medhavi Chhatra Scooty Yojana and Devnarayan Scooty Yojana, 39,586 girls have received scooters.
35 lakh+ beneficiaries received cashless medical care —
He said that the Ayushman Arogya Yojana has been expanded by adding 132 new packages, and cashless treatment worth ₹6,860 crore has been provided to over 35 lakh beneficiaries. Under the Maa Voucher Yojana, 2.26 lakh sonographies have been performed. The “Ayushman Bal Sambal Yojana” has been launched to help children suffering from rare diseases.
Rule of law strengthened in two years —
He said the government has strengthened law and order. Compared to the previous government’s last two years, crimes have reduced by 12%. “Operation Anti Virus” reduced cybercrime by 35%. Cases of atrocities against women fell by 11%, and atrocities against SC/ST communities reduced by 21%. The government has implemented the anti-conversion law, providing strict punishment for conversion by greed, fear or deceit. Special protection has been ensured for women, SC/ST and vulnerable groups.
Preservation of Shekhawati Havelis; over 71,000 elderly sent on pilgrimage —
He said that the Shekhawati Haveli Conservation Scheme was announced in Budget 2025–26. So far, 662 historical havelis have been identified in Jhunjhunu, Sikar and Churu. Under the Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme, more than 65,000 senior citizens travelled by rail and 6,000 by air. Seven panoramas are under construction. For Rajasthan devotees attending the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, the state set up special camps with free food, medicine, security and help desks. Under the “Panch Gaurav” programme, each district has identified one special crop, plant species, product, tourist place and sport. Under the Afforestation Mission, 20 crore saplings have been planted in two years.
Two years dedicated to a prosperous Rajasthan —
He said the first Pravasi Rajasthani Day was organised successfully. A policy for Non-Resident Rajasthanis and a department for their affairs has been established. Fourteen new NR-Rajasthan chapters have been announced. Last year’s Rising Rajasthan Summit saw MoUs worth ₹35 lakh crore, of which ground-breaking for more than ₹8 lakh crore projects has already been completed. Over 2.5 lakh private-sector jobs have been created. In two years, more than 28 new policies have been implemented covering industries, MSME, logistics, data centres, GCC, tourism, minerals, clean energy and textiles.
Two-year tenure dedicated to public welfare —
He said that in just two years, the government has completed more work than the previous government achieved in five years. In two years, the government increased electricity generation by 6,363 MW, while the previous government increased only 3,952 MW in five years. Irrigation was provided to 85,000 hectares, compared to the previous government’s 52,000 hectares. In two years, 35,368 farm ponds were built, compared to 29,430 in the previous five years. Pipeline subsidies benefited 98,753 farmers compared to 91,582 earlier. Grants to cowsheds totalled ₹3,433 crore in two years, compared to the previous government’s ₹3,117 crore in five years. Fencing of 299 lakh meters was done, compared to 113 lakh meters earlier. We upgraded 101 first-category veterinary hospitals, compared to 49 earlier, and upgraded 50 multipurpose veterinary hospitals compared to 13 previously. We connected 1,640 villages by roads, while the previous government connected only 1,100 in five years. We built 15,684 km of new roads in two years, compared to 13,160 km in five years earlier.
Before this, the Chief Minister launched a special campaign song and audio to take the two-year development journey to the public. Booklets based on the government’s achievements were also released.
