CM Flags Off ‘Vikas Rath’ Fleet to Showcase Two Years of Governance

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma flagged off 50 Vikas Rath (development chariots) from the Harish Chandra Mathur Rajasthan Institute of Public Administration on Friday as part of the celebrations marking two years of the state government.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the government is working as a servant of the people, and the wheel of development in the state is moving forward without pause. He said it is the government’s responsibility to present its work before the public, which is why, like last year, the administration has once again released its “good governance report card”.

He said the Vikas Rath will reach every village and hamlet in all Assembly constituencies, connecting people with government schemes. He urged citizens to be part of this initiative by helping spread information about welfare schemes to the last person. He also encouraged people to submit their suggestions through the suggestion box available in the Vikas Rath, assuring that these suggestions will be incorporated into the upcoming budget.

70% of promises fulfilled within two years
Sharma said that of the commitments made to the public for completion in five years, 70% have already been completed in just two years. The government has delivered exceptional work in priority sectors such as water and electricity. Farmers are being turned into both food providers and energy providers, with innovations that now allow daytime power supply in 22 districts. Under PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, farmers are receiving ₹9,000, which will gradually be increased to ₹12,000.

He congratulated citizens for yoga’s global reach under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and celebrated Diwali’s inclusion in UNESCO’s list of intangible cultural heritage. He said India will lead the world in the coming times, with Rajasthan playing a crucial role.

Youth to become job providers
The Chief Minister said that under the previous government, paper leaks severely harmed the youth, whereas not a single paper leak has occurred under the current government. Nearly 92,000 government jobs have already been provided, and 20,000 more appointments will be made this month. The government aims to provide 4 lakh government jobs in five years. Through Rising Rajasthan, MoUs worth ₹35 lakh crore were signed, with ground-breaking for projects worth ₹8 lakh crore already completed. The private sector has created 2.5 lakh jobs. A youth policy will soon be introduced to encourage young people to become job creators, not just job seekers.

He added that when farmers, women, youth, and workers are empowered, the state and nation become stronger. Under the Ayushman scheme, cashless treatment up to ₹25 lakh is being provided. Seventy lakh people have been added under the National Food Security Act, women from poor families are receiving gas cylinders for ₹450, and girls are being given ₹1.50 lakh under the Lado Incentive Scheme.

Development fund provided to all 200 constituencies without discrimination
Sharma said that the government has established rule of law in the state over the last two years. He remarked that the current administration has completed more work in two years than the previous government did in five. Development funds were allocated to all 200 constituencies without discrimination. “We work among the people and for all 8 crore citizens of the state,” he said.

Deputy CM Diya Kumari said the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit has created a strong entrepreneurial environment. She added that transparency in government services, empowerment of women and farmers, and an industry-friendly environment are among the government’s major achievements. The Vikas Rath will ensure welfare schemes reach every household.

Deputy CM Dr. Premchand Bairwa said the double-engine government is committed to Rajasthan’s holistic development, working with a ‘Nation First’ mindset. The Vikas Rath will communicate two years of achievements and policy reforms to the public.

A large number of citizens and senior leaders, including ministers and MLAs, were present at the event.

It is noteworthy that 200 Vikas Rath have been sent to all Assembly constituencies. Through audio and video, they will effectively share details of the government’s achievements, flagship schemes, and policy reforms from the past two years.
