New Delhi/Lucknow, January 2026 : On the occasion of Republic Day, Uttar Pradesh’s tableau at the national parade on Kartavya Path in Delhi will once again emerge as a special centre of attraction for audiences from India and abroad. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the tableau presents the state’s rich cultural heritage alongside its rapid development journey, with a special focus on the glorious culture of Bundelkhand. Through this tableau, the historic grandeur of the ancient Kalinjar Fort is vividly showcased along with the fast-progressing image of modern Uttar Pradesh. The presentation reflects the Yogi government’s vision, where preservation of heritage and balanced development are given equal importance.

A Heritage Journey Beginning from Kalinjar
At the front of the tableau, one of the famous rock-art sculptures of Kalinjar Fort, the Ekmukh Lingam, has been installed, symbolising Bundelkhand’s ancient spiritual traditions and cultural consciousness. It represents the region’s religious faith and historical identity. The central section of the tableau highlights Bundelkhand’s vibrant handicraft traditions, pottery, bead craftsmanship and local trade. All these are part of the ‘One District One Product’ (ODOP) scheme, serving as concrete evidence of the Yogi government’s efforts to connect traditional artisans with markets and make them self-reliant. This segment underscores Bundelkhand’s economic self-sufficiency and cultural identity.

A Confluence of Tourism and Faith
The rear section of the tableau depicts the carved pillars and grand gateways of Kalinjar Fort, where tourists are seen experiencing its historic corridors. Alongside this, the magnificent form of the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple reinforces Kalinjar’s spiritual and architectural heritage. This presentation establishes Bundelkhand as a major cultural and tourism hub. Bundeli artists performing traditional folk dances bring alive the region’s folk life, festive spirit and cultural vibrancy. These visuals reflect a way of life deeply rooted in Bundelkhand’s traditions and folk customs.

Modern Uttar Pradesh Touching New Heights of Development
The final segment of the tableau is designed as a modern structure inspired by fort architecture, showcasing the BrahMos missile, expressway networks, industrial progress, infrastructure and glimpses of contemporary development. It highlights Uttar Pradesh’s rapid development journey, strengthened defence capabilities and robust infrastructure under the leadership of the Yogi government. The tableau clearly conveys the message that Uttar Pradesh, while preserving its cultural roots, is touching new heights of modernity and development. Bundelkhand’s tableau will not only establish the region’s identity on the national मंच, but will also demonstrate how tradition and progress together are taking the state forward towards a New India.
