Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has invited leading UAE investors and global business groups to explore investment opportunities in the state, highlighting Madhya Pradesh’s strategic central location, robust infrastructure, reliable connectivity, skilled workforce and investor-friendly environment.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, addressing investors during a series of one-to-one meetings on the third day of the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM Congress-2026) in Dubai on September 8, emphasised the state’s vast potential in energy, infrastructure, logistics, urban development, technology and green energy. The Chief Minister said that better logistics and supply-chain infrastructure would help connect products from Madhya Pradesh with global markets while reducing transportation time and costs. He also underlined the potential for expanding logistics, warehousing and multimodal connectivity to boost trade, attract investment and create employment opportunities.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav held detailed discussions with senior representatives of Crescent Enterprises, DP World, Rana Holdings, GEMS Education, BeauMerc Corporation, Sharaf Group, VFS Global and Choithrams, exploring investment opportunities across diverse sectors. He also invited the industry leaders to participate in the Global Investors Summit (GIS)-2027, to be held in Madhya Pradesh next year.
State Government Promoting Technology-Driven Entrepreneurship and Startups
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav highlighted investment opportunities in warehousing, logistics and related sectors for major production clusters in Madhya Pradesh. He said, during his discussion with Shri Badr Jafar, that the state government is encouraging investment in technology-driven entrepreneurship and startups.
Shri Jafar expressed interest in long-term investments in urban infrastructure development, information technology, efficient utilisation of resources and technology transfer. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and Shri Jafar also held detailed discussions on promoting innovation in the energy and technology sectors.
Shri Jafar informed the Chief Minister that Crescent Group is a diversified business group with interests in energy, logistics, infrastructure and long-term investments. Petroleum and entrepreneurship are among its key areas of operation. The company is headquartered in Sharjah.
Powarkheda to be Developed as a Major Gateway for Inland Logistics
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav held discussions with Shri Rizwan Soomar, CEO of DP World, on several issues, including logistics and supply chains. DP World already has operations in Madhya Pradesh and is keen
to expand its activities in the state.Shri Soomar informed the Chief Minister that DP World is an integrated global provider of end-to-end supply chain and trade solutions. The company is wholly owned by the Government of Dubai and operates in 80 countries, including India.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Powarkheda Logistics Composite Hub has the potential to emerge as a major gateway for inland logistics. Multimodal logistics, warehousing and cold-chain facilities serving major industrial and agricultural clusters will boost business-to-business activities. He said that efficient rail-based freight movement would help reduce logistics costs and transportation time while providing farmers, Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), MSMEs and industries with facilities for cargo consolidation, value addition and export support. This will help connect products from Madhya Pradesh with global markets and create more employment opportunities.
Discussions on Investment in Smart Manufacturing, Data Centres, Green Energy and e-Mobility
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav met Dr. Darshan Singh Rana, Chairman and Managing Director of Rana Holdings Limited, to discuss investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh. The meeting focused on smart manufacturing, data centres, green energy, green hydrogen, e-mobility and agricultural machinery.International-Standard K-12 School Campuses to be Established in Major Cities of MP
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav highlighted innovations in the state's education sector and investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh during his meeting with Shri Sunny Varkey, Chairman and Founder of GEMS Education.
GEMS Education operates in school education, educational management and education technology. The company expressed interest in establishing international-standard K-12 school campuses in major and emerging cities of Madhya Pradesh. These schools will also provide skill-development training to students. The company will implement national and international curricula in line with local requirements and future learning needs.
Shri Sunny Varkey informed the Chief Minister that the company was established in 2000 and operates across the Middle East, Asia, Europe and North America. The company focuses on quality education, teacher empowerment and innovation in education. It is headquartered in Dubai.
BeauMerc Corporation Keen to Invest in Madhya Pradesh
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav held a one-to-one meeting with Shri Siddharth Balachandran, Executive Chairman and CEO of BeauMerc Corporation Limited. Shri Balachandran expressed interest in investing in several sectors, including infrastructure, healthcare, technology and green energy.
Sharaf Group Keen to Establish Operations and Facilities in Madhya Pradesh
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav met Shri Shyam Kapoor, President and CEO of Sharaf Group. The two discussed several important issues, including shipping, logistics and supply chains.
The meeting included discussions on a proposal to establish a logistics park with rail siding facilities in Madhya Pradesh, involving a proposed investment of approximately US$30 million to US$50 million. The project is expected to generate employment opportunities for around 300 to 600 people. The company is interested in investing in the Indore and Pithampur regions.The meeting also focused on developing multimodal logistics parks, modern warehousing facilities and regional distribution centres.
Shri Kapoor informed the Chief Minister that the company has a presence in India through its Indian subsidiary, Hind Terminals Private Limited (HTPL), which operates inland container depots and provides cold-chain solutions for fresh agricultural produce. The company operates 35 freight trains and around 900 trucks in India and is particularly keen to establish its operations and facilities in Madhya Pradesh.
Visa Services to be Expanded in Bhopal and Indore
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav held a cordial and productive meeting with Shri Amit Seicher, Global Head of VFS Global. The discussions covered investment, employment, accessibility of visa services, and tourism and skill development for youth in the state.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav encouraged VFS Global to expand its visa application services in Bhopal and Indore and strengthen its regional reach. He placed special emphasis on enhancing the employability of youth in Madhya Pradesh. The discussions also included the possibility of introducing industry-oriented travel, tourism and hospitality training programmes for local youth.
Choithrams Keen to Establish Supermarkets and Modern Grocery Retail Centres
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav held detailed discussions with Mr. L.T. Pagrani, Chairman of Choithrams, a leading multinational group in the supermarket, distribution and manufacturing sectors, on the state's
investment policies and business opportunities. Headquartered in Dubai, Choithrams is a reputed international group that has been operating since 1943. With a strong presence in Europe, North America and Africa, the group specialises in retail, food services, logistics and brand distribution.During the meeting, both sides agreed on developing modern commercial infrastructure in the state. The group expressed interest in establishing supermarkets and modern grocery retail outlets in major cities. As part of the industrial partnership, the group will directly procure agricultural and processed food products from local producers and farmers in Madhya Pradesh. Local raw materials will help boost food processing, packaging and private-label manufacturing in the state.
