Development Works Worth Rs 33.64 Lakh Sanctioned; Passenger Shelters, Road, Culvert and School Boundary Wall to be Constructed
Raipur, Sept 2026: Development activities in the Bhatgaon Assembly constituency are gaining continuous momentum through the sustained efforts of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Minister and Bhatgaon MLA Laxmi Rajwade. In this regard, administrative approval has been granted for development works related to public amenities and infrastructure worth Rs 33.64 lakh in various villages of the constituency under the CSR fund of SECL. The approved works will improve transportation facilities in rural areas and strengthen public and educational infrastructure.
Keeping in mind the convenience of villagers and passengers travelling in the area, modern passenger waiting shelters will be constructed at four locations. Passenger shelters will be built at a cost of Rs 4.91 lakh at Latori Bus Stand, Rs 4.85 lakh at Padkipara Chowk in Karwan village, Rs 4.68 lakh at Nawapara Chowk in Batra village and Rs 4.68 lakh at the main Chowk in Khopa village. These facilities will provide relief to passengers from the sun, rain and other weather conditions.
A pucca CC road will be constructed from Bandhan’s house to Chandel’s house in Sarnapara of Dharampur village at a cost of Rs 4.66 lakh. Similarly, an RCC slab culvert will be constructed near the house of Inder Kujur in Sarnapara of Bundia village at a cost of Rs 4.89 lakh. The construction of the road and culvert will facilitate the movement of villagers and improve local transportation facilities.
A boundary wall will be constructed at a cost of Rs 4.97 lakh at the premises of the Primary School in Rajkishorenagar village to ensure the safety of students and provide a better school environment. This will strengthen security at the school premises and help create a safer educational environment for students.
Minister Laxmi Rajwade said that expanding basic facilities in the villages of the Bhatgaon Assembly constituency and ensuring the overall development of the area are her priorities. Development works are being taken forward according to the needs of the rural population.
She said that works related to roads, culverts, passenger facilities and educational infrastructure directly make the lives of people more convenient. She added that continuous efforts would be made in the same manner for the development of the constituency.
