NSTI to Give New Recognition to Skills; Raising the Age Limit to 45 Years to Benefit Experience — Expansion of Opportunities Under the Leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai
Raipur, Sept 2026 : Chhattisgarh has long been known as the ‘Rice Bowl’. The lush green crops in its fields have reflected the prosperity of the state. The recent decisions of the Council of Ministers under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai appear to be taking this vision forward. On one hand, the establishment of a National Skill Training Institute (NSTI) in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar will provide youth with a platform for acquiring modern skills. On the other hand, increasing the maximum age limit from 38 to 45 years for various categories working in government and affiliated institutions is an important decision aimed at providing new opportunities to experience and capability.

The institute, to be developed at a cost of around Rs 200 crore, will have modern academic, administrative and hostel facilities. It will be able to train around 1,000 trainees every year through long-term courses and approximately 3,000 trainees through short-term programmes. This is an opportunity connected with the dreams of thousands of young people. While some will acquire technical skills, others will join industries, and some will start their own enterprises and create employment opportunities for others as well.
