Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar Announces Election Dates for Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir
New Delhi : Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar has announced the dates for the upcoming Assembly elections in Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir. Haryana will hold its elections in a single phase on October 1, while Jammu & Kashmir will conduct its polls over three phases from September 18 to October 1.
In Jammu & Kashmir, voters will head to the polls on September 18, September 25, and October 1. The counting of votes for both states is scheduled for October 4.
Candidates in Jammu & Kashmir can file nominations for the first phase on August 27, for the second phase on September 5, and for the third phase on September 12. In Haryana, the deadline for filing nominations is September 12, with scrutiny on September 13, and the last date for withdrawal set for September 16.
