Architecture Festival Launched under India Stonemart 2026
Jaipur, February 2026 : Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari on Friday inaugurated the Architecture Festival organised under India Stonemart 2026. The event was held at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC), Sitapura, where the winners of the 12th All India Stone Architecture Awards 2025 were also felicitated.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the festival would give global recognition to Rajasthan’s rich architectural heritage, stone industry, and craft traditions. She noted that Rajasthan stone is renowned worldwide and has been used in major religious places and historic structures across the country, including the Ram Temple, Akshardham Temple, prestigious hotels, and several iconic heritage buildings. She described it as a matter of immense pride that the soil and stone of Rajasthan have made a visible contribution across the world.

She said that India Stonemart provides a major platform for stakeholders associated with handicrafts, handicraft artisans, and the marble and stone industry. The event offers small artisans and craftsmen of the state an international platform, creating opportunities not only for learning but also for expanding export prospects.
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Vikas bhi aur Virasat bhi” (development along with heritage), she emphasised that architectural designs and styles found in historic buildings should be incorporated into modern constructions. She highlighted that Jaipur holds a special place in global architecture, being world-famous for its design and recognised as the world’s first planned city.
Representatives from Laghu Udyog Bharati, SIDOS, and a large number of architects were present at the ceremony.
