CM Yogi Adityanath’s Tokyo Visit Strengthens India–Japan Investment Ties

Tokyo, Feb 2026 : Hon’ble Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath received a warm welcome on his arrival in Tokyo, where he was greeted by Vice Governor Junichi Ishidera along with members of the Indian diaspora. The visit forms part of a two-nation tour and marks the Chief Minister’s maiden trip to Japan, underscoring the growing strategic, economic, and cultural engagement between India and Japan.

During the visit, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a detailed interaction with Shigeki Tanabe, Senior Managing Executive Officer and Executive General Manager (Sales Management Division – Domestic Business) of Konoike Transport Co., Ltd.. Discussions focused on expanding investment opportunities in Uttar Pradesh, particularly in high-growth sectors aligned with the state’s infrastructure push.

The Chief Minister invited the company to explore investments in logistics parks, warehousing, transport infrastructure, and medical devices manufacturing. He highlighted the advantages offered by the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) network and the Medical Devices Park at YEIDA, positioning Uttar Pradesh as a competitive and investor-friendly destination.

The engagement reflects a shared commitment to deepening India–Japan industrial cooperation, leveraging complementary strengths to drive sustainable growth, innovation, and long-term economic partnership.
