India’s Commerce & Industries Minister Conference (Udhyog Samagam-2024) Held in New Delhi, Minister F. Rodingliana Participates
Aizawl : Under the chairmanship of Union Commerce & Industries Minister Piyush Goyal, the Commerce & Industries Minister Conference (Udhyog Samagam-2024) was held at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, New Delhi. Mizoram’s Commerce & Industries Minister, F. Rodingliana, also attended the conference, where he discussed Mizoram’s efforts and challenges in industrial development.
The main theme of the conference was the ‘Ease of Doing Business (EODB),’ during which various States and Union Territories shared their progress in the field. Discussions were held on how to further promote investment, streamline industry operations, and implement reforms and policies to boost industrial growth. The conference aimed to explore ways to improve the ease of doing business and attract larger investments across India.
During the event, Minister F. Rodingliana spoke about Mizoram’s new Industrial and Investment Policies, designed to open up more opportunities for investors. He emphasized the government’s commitment to promoting agro-based industries and bamboo processing sectors, both of which are being prioritized for rapid development. The Minister highlighted Mizoram’s vast production of bamboo, ginger, and turmeric, noting that industries for processing these resources are currently being established. He also acknowledged the challenges faced by industries in Mizoram and urged other Indian states and the Central Government to extend support to overcome these obstacles.
Minister F. Rodingliana was accompanied by Dr. Lalzirmawia Chhangte, Secretary, and Pi Maria CT Zuali, Director of the Commerce & Industries Department, at the conference.
