The dream of housing for the poor is coming true: Food Minister Shri Dayal Das Baghel

Food Minister and Minister in charge of Gariaband district, Shri Dayaldas Baghel attended the district-level Housing Fair program organized at Mangal Bhawan situated at Gandhi Maidan in the district today. He said that due to the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the dream of poor people to have their own house is coming true today. After coming to power, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai’s first work was to approve more than 18 lakh Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Minister Shri Baghel said that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna, permanent houses are being provided to homeless families of the state. Mahasamund Lok Sabha MP Smt. Roopkumari Chaudhary and Rajim MLA Shri Rohit Sahu specially attended the program.

On this occasion, Mr. Baghel, along with public representatives, handed over keys to 10 beneficiaries of completed houses under the PM Awas Yojana and approval orders to 10 beneficiaries of newly approved houses. On this occasion, Minister Mr. Baghel congratulated and wished the beneficiaries for their new houses.

Food Minister Mr. Baghel said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, the Government of India is fulfilling the dream of housing for the poor. Chief Minister Mr. Vishnudev Sai is determined to fulfill Mr. Modi’s guarantee of providing housing. In this context, maximum number of new houses have been approved in the state. Due to this, needy poor families are benefiting from the housing scheme. He said that on receiving complaints of irregularities in housing construction, strict action will be taken against those concerned. Stalls related to government schemes were set up by various departments in the program.

The Minister-in-Charge along with the guests distributed Annaprashan to the children, labour cards, Ayushman cards, ration cards, Soil Health Cards, Ujjwala gas connections and nutrition kits to the beneficiaries. A model of the new house of Pond resident Mrs Saraswati Kumar was made in the programme. The guests inaugurated the model house by cutting the ribbon. Also, the beneficiary was congratulated for the new house by feeding him sweets.

On this occasion, Collector Mr. Deepak Kumar Agarwal, District Panchayat CEO Mrs. Rita Yadav, Municipal Council President Mr. Abdul Gaffar Memon, Janpad Panchayat President Mrs. Lalima Thakur, District Panchayat Member Mr. Firturam Kanwar, Municipal Council Vice President Mr. Surendra Sontake, senior citizen Mr. Rajesh Sahu along with other public representatives, officers-employees and citizens were present.
