Chief Minister’s Diwali Gift – Shri Bhajanlal Sharma Approves Bonus for State Employees
Jaipur : As a Diwali gift, Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma has approved an ad hoc bonus for state government employees, benefiting approximately 6 lakh employees across the state.
The ad hoc bonus for 2023-24 is approved for government employees, excluding State Service Officers, who are receiving pay in Pay Level L-12 or below, or have a Grade Pay of 4800 and below, as per the Rajasthan Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2017. The bonus will be calculated based on a maximum remuneration of Rs 7,000 for a 31-day month, and will be payable for a period of 30 days. As a result, each eligible employee will receive a maximum ad hoc bonus of Rs 6,774.
Of the total bonus amount, 75 percent will be paid in cash, while the remaining 25 percent will be credited to the employee’s General Provident Fund account.
The ad hoc bonus will impose an additional financial burden of approximately Rs 500 crore on the state government. It will also be extended to employees of Panchayat Samitis and Zilla Parishads.
