Jaipur: In a move to provide significant relief to women visiting Ajmer’s busiest markets, Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani has initiated the construction of pink toilets in Chudi Bazaar. The project, with a budget of ₹22 lakh, will see the completion of eight toilets at a single location by February. Similar facilities are also planned for Purani Mandi and Diggi Bazaar.

On Sunday, Speaker Devnani inaugurated the construction work for the pink toilets on municipal land in Chudi Bazaar. Addressing the event, he noted that women have long faced difficulties due to the lack of proper toilet facilities in crowded markets such as Naya Bazaar, Chudi Bazaar, Purani Mandi, Madar Gate, Diggi Bazaar, Nala Bazaar, and other similar areas. Recognizing this pressing issue, locations were identified in recent weeks, and construction work has now commenced to address these needs.

Speaker Devnani emphasized that the state government is committed to ensuring relief and convenience for all sections of society. The initiative to build pink toilets in markets is part of this broader commitment. Under this plan, several locations in the Ajmer North Assembly constituency were selected, and construction has begun in the first phase with Chudi Bazaar.

The project aims to provide dedicated toilet facilities for women, easing their experience while shopping in busy markets. The construction in Chudi Bazaar, costing ₹22 lakh, will feature eight toilets at one location. Once completed, it will bring much-needed relief to women visiting Purani Mandi, Chudi Bazaar, and Naya Bazaar. Speaker Devnani directed officials to ensure the completion of the project by February.
