Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap Attends Mata Mawli Fair
Inauguration of Abujhmad Marathon T-Shirts
Raipur : Chhattisgarh’s Minister of Forest and Climate Change, Shri Kedar Kashyap, attended the historic Mata Mawli Fair, which commenced today in Abujhmad, Narayanpur district. He offered prayers to Mata Mawli, sought blessings, and extended his heartfelt wishes to the people for the grand event.
Minister Kashyap emphasized that the blessings of Mata Mawli strengthen Bastar’s culture and traditions. He highlighted that the fair is a vibrant symbol of social harmony and cultural heritage, enriched by the presence of devotees from far and wide. He also praised the tribal communities for their significant role in protecting water, forests, and land.
He further stated that Bastar’s Madai fairs are crucial in preserving tribal culture, folk arts, and traditions. The Mata Mawli Fair is one of Narayanpur district’s most renowned and historic events, attracting not only locals but also visitors from distant places who come to witness this cultural legacy. He added that the five-day fair will feature cultural performances every evening and prayed for the all-round development of the district with Mata Mawli’s blessings.
Launch of Abujhmad Peace Half Marathon T-Shirt
During the event, Minister Kashyap also unveiled the official T-shirt for the Abujhmad Peace Half Marathon, scheduled for March 2. He encouraged people to participate in large numbers, describing the marathon as a symbol of physical fitness and social harmony.
Additionally, he visited various stalls set up by government departments, explored local shops, purchased worship materials, and interacted with local traders.
The event was attended by Municipal Council President Indraprasad Baghel, councilors Kriti Potai, Neha Kashyap, Ramshila Nag, Sangeeta Jain, Hemant Patra, All Tribal Society President Roopsai Salam, social worker Gautam S. Golcha, Jackie Kashyap, Sandeep Jha, Collector Pratistha Mamgain, SP Prabhat Kumar, District Panchayat CEO Akanksha Shiksha Khalkho, along with a large number of villagers and devotees.
