Approval of Rs 30.56 Crore for the “Poshan Bhi – Padhai Bhi” Training Program under the Saksham Anganwadi and Nutrition 2.0 Scheme

A cabinet meeting was held at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The cabinet approved Rs 30.56 crore for organizing the “Poshan Bhi – Padhai Bhi” training program under the Centrally Sponsored ‘Saksham Anganwadi and Nutrition 2.0’ Scheme, following the Government of India’s guidelines.

The objective of this program is Early stimulation in the first 1,000 days of childhood, Promoting Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) for children aged 3 to 6 years, Developing a fundamental understanding of ECCE with an educational approach among Anganwadi workers, and Providing high-quality, play-based education.

The program aims to enhance the capacity of Anganwadi workers and train one Child Development Project Officer and three supervisors as master trainers.

Wheat Procurement at Rs 2,600 per Quintal

The cabinet decided to increase the bonus amount on wheat procurement from Rs 125 to Rs 175 per quintal for the Rabi Marketing Year 2025-26. Thus the wheat procurement will be done at Rs 2,600 per quintal. The procurement process Rs 175 per quintal bonus. The state government will spend Rs.1,400 crore from its budget for procuring 80 lakh metric tonnes of wheat.

Farmers to Receive ₹4,000 per Hectare as Incentive for Paddy Procurement

Under the Kharif Marketing Season 2024, the state government will provide an incentive of Rs 4,000 per hectare to farmers selling paddy. This will benefit 6.70 lakh farmers. The scheme will cover 12.20 lakh hectares of paddy cultivation. The state government will spend Rs 480 crore for this initiative.

Approval of Rs 138.41 Crore for Pending Digitization of Revenue Land Records

The cabinet approved Rs 138.41 crore (including taxes) for the pending digitization of revenue land records under the Digital India Land Records Modernization Program of the Government of India. The digitization work will be executed through Madhya Pradesh Land Records Management Committee (MPLRS) via an open tender process.

Reorganization of Three Forest Divisions in Chhindwara and Newly Formed Pandhurna District

The cabinet approved the reorganization of three forest divisions in the Chhindwara Forest Circle, which includes Chhindwara and the newly formed Pandhurna district. According to the cabinet decision, 662.742 sq. km of South Chhindwara Forest Division will be merged into the newly formed Pandhurna Forest Division. The remaining 293.944 sq. km will be incorporated into East and West Chhindwara Forest Divisions. The South Chhindwara Forest Division will be dissolved. Staff positions will be reallocated accordingly in Pandhurna, East Chhindwara, and West Chhindwara Forest Divisions.
