The project will include grading and storage facilities for oranges, ensuring better returns for farmers. He further assured that the state government will provide full support to this initiative and that Patanjali and the government will jointly establish a well-equipped modern nursery.

The Patanjali Food and Herbal Park, located in the MIHAN area of Nagpur, was inaugurated today by CM Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari. The event was attended by Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev Baba, Patanjali Ayurveda Limited’s Managing Director Acharya Balkrishna, Minister of State for Agriculture Adv. CM Fadnavis highlighted that Patanjali laid the foundation for this project in MIHAN nine years ago and overcame multiple hurdles to bring it to completion. Orange Farmers to Benefit from Processing and Storage Facilities

CM Fadnavis emphasized that the required raw material for the project will be procured from orange farmers, providing them with a direct market for their produce. The park includes advanced cold storage facilities for preserving oranges, ensuring farmers can store their produce efficiently. He assured that the state government will provide full assistance to the project, and a modern nursery for quality saplings will be jointly developed by Patanjali and the government.

Employment and Market Expansion for Oranges – Union Minister Nitin Gadkari

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari stated that the Patanjali Food and Herbal Park in MIHAN will require around 800 tons of oranges daily, providing a stable market for orange farmers. He also noted that the project would generate local employment opportunities. Farmers will actively support the project, and it will also facilitate the supply of citrus fruits. He emphasized that the initiative will contribute to the economic upliftment of farmers and requested the state government to set up an advanced nursery for high-quality orange saplings and seeds.

Before the main event, CM Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari unveiled the foundation plaque and officially inaugurated the Patanjali Food and Herbal Park.
