“Global Biz Summit and Startup Pavilion Awards Ceremony Held: Governor Honors Entrepreneurs, Encourages Youth to Pursue Startups”
Jaipur – Governor Shri Haribhau Bagde emphasized that India has been technologically advanced since ancient times, citing the great Nalanda University. He mentioned the burning of Nalanda’s library by Bakhtiyar Khilji, highlighting continuous efforts to destroy Indian knowledge. He pointed out that India introduced the decimal system to the world, and Sage Bharadwaj had already written about aviation long before Newton discovered the law of gravity. He also remarked that British rule suppressed Indian knowledge and traditions.
Speaking at the “Global Biz Summit and Startup Pavilion Awards Ceremony” organized by the Global Commerce Council on Sunday, Governor Bagde urged for greater opportunities for youth in entrepreneurship to realize the vision of a “Developed India.” He stressed the need to promote startups and innovation to accelerate India’s progress toward “Developed India 2047.”
The Governor also discussed the Union Budget, calling it a blueprint for the country’s future growth. He highlighted its focus on infrastructure, industry, and youth-driven economic innovation. He praised the new National Education Policy for prioritizing skill development, expanding IITs, integrating technology, and emphasizing artificial intelligence.
Governor Bagde noted that since 2014, over three crore youth have received skill training, with 1,000 ITIs upgraded and five centers of excellence established. He acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts to prepare Indian youth for global competition with expert guidance. He also encouraged private sector participation in strengthening the nation’s economy alongside government initiatives.
