Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal did a site inspection of the 700-bed hospital to be built at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial Hospital.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai is serious about improving health services in Chhattisgarh. To ensure that people get better health facilities in the state, the Sai government of Chhattisgarh made new announcements in the health sector in its first budget itself. According to the announcement, the Government Medical College Raipur is to be upgraded to a 1200 bed hospital and a 700 bed hospital is to be built in Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Smriti Chikitsalaya at a cost of Rs. 776 crore.
In this connection, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal today inspected the construction site of the 700-bed hospital to be built at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Smriti Chikitsalaya. Shri Jaiswal, along with hospital superintendent Shri SBS Netam and other officials of the health department, inspected the old hostel of the medical college and also inspected the site for connectivity with the main road for the 700-bed hospital. Shri Jaiswal has said in a discussion with the officials of the health department that the necessary construction preparations for this hospital, to be built at a cost of Rs 776 crore included in the budget, will start soon.
