Readymade Garments Hosiery Park Set to Give a New Flight to the Textile Sector

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the Madhya Pradesh government’s concrete efforts to create a pro-investment and industry-friendly environment are yielding positive results. One such result is the accelerated development of the Readymade Garments Hosiery Park in the state capital, Bhopal. This park will not only inject new momentum into the state’s textile sector but also play a key role in establishing Madhya Pradesh as an emerging industrial hub.

With the proactive guidance of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the state government is fostering a business-friendly climate, which has significantly boosted investor confidence. The Readymade Garments Hosiery Park stands as a major achievement in this direction and will help position Madhya Pradesh on the national map for sectors like textiles and food processing.

Located in Satgarhi village, Tehsil Kolar, Bhopal, this industrial park is being developed under the supervision of the regional office of the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation. Spread over 69.60 hectares, the park is being developed as a multi-product park encompassing sectors such as textiles, readymade garments, and food processing.

From a logistics and connectivity standpoint, the park is advantageously situated—just 12 km from National Highway NH-46, 25 km from Raja Bhoj Airport, and 15 km from Rani Kamlapati Railway Station. Its proximity to Bhopal city (13 km) ensures smooth access for workers, entrepreneurs, and industrial operations.

The development of core infrastructure in the park is well-planned. Water supply will be sourced from the Kerwa Dam, and a nearby 33 kV/11 kV substation will ensure uninterrupted power supply. A 2.2-kilometre-long concrete road connecting the park to Kolar Road has also been completed, strengthening the transportation network. The total estimated cost of this industrial project is ₹1,997.97 lakh.

The park is expected to attract substantial industrial investment in Bhopal and surrounding areas, creating significant local employment opportunities.
