CM Vishnu Deo Sai Visits Galgam, Boosts Morale of Security Forces

Congratulates Troops on Successful Anti-Naxal Operation

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai visited the remote village of Galgam in Usoor Tehsil of Bijapur district today, where he interacted with CRPF personnel and local villagers to discuss the recent success of the anti-Naxal operation. In this intensive 21-day operation conducted on the Karegutta Hills, security forces eliminated 31 notorious Maoist insurgents and recovered a significant cache of weapons. CM Sai described the operation as a crucial step towards a Naxal-free Chhattisgarh.

Beginning his address with chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Chhattisgarh Mahtari Ki Jai,” the Chief Minister praised the bravery and dedication of the security personnel. He said, “Our jawans have shown unmatched courage and commitment. This achievement is not just for Bijapur, but for the entire state.” The Karegutta and Galgam areas, long considered Maoist strongholds, now inspire new hope for peace and safety due to this operation.

During his interaction with CRPF personnel, CM Sai lauded their valor, stating, “It is through your dedication and sacrifice that we are steadily winning the fight against Naxalism.” He further emphasized that since his government came to power 18 months ago, they have worked relentlessly to ensure good governance across the state.

He added, “Despite operating under extreme temperatures of 44 degrees Celsius, our forces have conducted multiple challenging missions. I salute such indomitable courage.” CM Sai reiterated his belief that security camps are also facilitation hubs, helping bring essential services like ration, electricity, healthcare, education, and mobile connectivity to remote areas of Bastar.

He mentioned that Mooler was the first area to get a security camp under his administration, and now nearby villages have access to various amenities. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, the anti-Naxal campaign has seen continuous success. The state government aims to make Chhattisgarh completely Naxal-free by March 2026, a goal CM Sai believes is achievable thanks to the courage of the security forces.

He also acknowledged the importance of community engagement through initiatives like Niyad Nellanar Yojana, which has played a crucial role in building trust with locals in Bastar.

During the visit, CM Sai also interacted with local beneficiaries, distributing ration cards, Ayushman health cards, and approval letters under a special PM Awas Yojana project for families affected by Naxalism and for those who have surrendered. He assured the people that the government would accelerate development work, and prioritize education, healthcare, and employment in the region. He emphasized that along with the efforts of the security forces, cooperation from local communities is equally essential to achieve a Naxal-free Chhattisgarh by March 2026.

CM Sai promised improvements in road connectivity, electricity, and water supply to integrate the region with the mainstream. He also pledged that education and healthcare would be given top priority in Naxal-affected areas. At the Galgam camp, he posed for photographs with the soldiers, cheered them on with patriotic slogans, and shared a meal with them, further boosting morale. The soldiers responded with patriotic slogans, showing their zeal and commitment.

During the event, DGP Arun Dev Gautam praised the civic action initiatives led by the security forces. Bijapur Collector Sambit Mishra informed the CM that under Sushasan Tihar 2025, a Samadhan Camp was recently held in Galgam, receiving 1,590 applications, most of which were related to forest rights. These applications are currently being reviewed and acted upon.

Also present on the occasion were Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to the CM Subodh Kumar Singh, IG of Bastar Range Sundarraj P., DIG Kamlochan Kashyap, Collector Sambit Mishra, SP Dr. Jitendra Yadav, along with several senior officials and security personnel.
