NFDC, Kamala Trust & Raigad Hospital Blood Centre Unite for Blood Donation Drive on World Blood Donor Day

On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC)—under the aegis of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting—collaborated with Kamala Ankibai Ghamandiram Gowani Trust (Kamala Trust) and Raigad Hospital Blood Centre to organise a Blood Donation Drive at the NFDC premises.

The event began with a collective pledge by all participants, committing themselves to the cause of voluntary blood donation. Over 50 NFDC employees, along with several external participants, came forward to donate blood and support this noble initiative.

Kamala Trust, known for its continuous efforts in uplifting communities through social welfare and public service initiatives, played a key role in supporting and enabling this drive.

The donation process was conducted with full medical supervision, including pre-screenings, BP checks, and post-donation care, ensured by the expert team from Raigad Hospital Blood Centre.

An NFDC representative shared, “This drive is a reminder of how collective goodwill can turn into life-saving action. The energy and participation from our team were truly inspiring.”

A Kamala Trust spokesperson added, “We are honoured to be part of initiatives that directly contribute to community health and well-being’’
