CM Welcomes Students at Zilla Parishad School, Durves in Palghar

Palghar : Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis emphasized that quality education, the integration of technology, and effective communication between teachers and parents are essential pillars of a prosperous and future-ready education system. He made this observation during a visit to the Zilla Parishad School in Durves village, Palghar taluka.

Marking the beginning of the 2025–26 academic year, CM Fadnavis distributed school uniforms and textbooks to newly admitted students and extended a warm welcome to them. He also interacted with students, encouraging and motivating them. As part of an environmental awareness gesture, the Chief Minister participated in a tree plantation drive at the school’s medicinal garden.

During the visit, the Chief Minister inspected key facilities such as digital classrooms, an ICT lab, science laboratory, library, medicinal garden, and a terrace garden, expressing satisfaction with the infrastructure. This school, developed under the PM SHRI Scheme, is recognized as a model institution in the district.

CM Fadnavis also interacted with parents to hear about their experiences. Parents proudly shared that the school provides quality education, the teachers are dedicated, and various activities are regularly conducted. They also noted that students receive training on digital boards and benefit from modern teaching methods. The Chief Minister praised the collective efforts of the teachers, parents, and education department, expressing satisfaction with the positive feedback.

The event was attended by Forest Minister and Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik, former minister Ravindra Chavan, MP Dr. Hemant Savara, MLAs Vilas Tare, Rajan Naik, Rajendra Gavit, Niranjan Davkhare, Principal Secretary (Education) I.N. Kundan, School Education Commissioner Sachindra Pratapsingh, District Collector Dr. Indurani Jakhar, CEO Manoj Ranade, Additional CEO Ravindra Shinde, Primary Education Officer Sonali Matekar, as well as several department heads, teachers, the school principal, parents, and gram panchayat members.

CM Fadnavis’s visit was part of the state government’s ‘100 School Visits’ initiative. As part of this campaign, ministers, elected representatives, and senior administrative officials will visit 142 schools in the district on June 16 and 17, 2025. The initiative aims to strengthen the bond between schools, students, and parents, and is expected to bring about a positive transformation in student attendance and academic performance across the region.
