Embrace technology and ensure regular career counselling for students, says CM
Gorakhpur : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Saturday evening, emphasised that no student studying at any institution under Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad (MPSP) should face hurdles in education due to financial constraints. He said it is the responsibility of every institution head to ensure financial barriers do not obstruct a student’s learning journey and that full support must be extended to students from weaker economic backgrounds.
The CM made these remarks during a review meeting held at the Gorakhnath Temple auditorium with the heads of all MPSP institutions. He called on them to align their institutions with the changing needs of society and the nation.
“Just as life is not a formality, institutions too must not function in a perfunctory manner. Each must have a clear mission,” he said. He encouraged institutional heads to work with full commitment and think beyond the conventional—building an identity based on innovation, discipline, time management, and healthy competition.
The Chief Minister stressed the importance of developing a strong campus culture across all MPSP institutions. “Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad is not merely a body that runs schools, colleges, universities, or hospitals. Its core mission is to contribute to social development and nation-building through education, healthcare, and service,” he said. Despite challenges, he added, the Parishad has remained unwavering in its commitment to producing responsible citizens dedicated to the national cause.
Yogi Adityanath praised the Parishad’s consistent emphasis on maintaining discipline and cultural values within campuses. He directed all institutional heads to ensure regular monitoring of cleanliness, greenery, harmony, and overall discipline on their premises. “Discipline and punctuality should begin with the institution heads themselves. When leaders model these values, they naturally permeate through the entire system,” he noted.
CM Yogi encouraged teachers to take up roles such as cleanliness and discipline management with enthusiasm, setting examples for students. He emphasised the importance of reverence towards the institution’s founders, saying such values inspire growth and commitment. He directed that schools must present a clean, welcoming, and positive environment, especially when parents visit.
He also urged institutions to remain technologically adaptive. “Keep pace with changing times. Embrace new technologies that serve the interest of students and the institution,” he said.
Reviewing summer vacation activities, the CM directed that schools should be ready to welcome students with a clean and revitalised environment on July 1. He underlined the importance of morning assemblies for fostering a positive and spiritual atmosphere. He also recommended enriching school libraries with interesting and knowledge-enhancing books and called for regular workshops for teacher and staff capacity-building. Special attention should also be given to career counselling for students, he added.
Applauding the institutions under MPSP for their exemplary work, CM Yogi encouraged them to continue their excellence through healthy competition. He appreciated their efforts and extended best wishes for achieving future goals.
Looking ahead to the centenary of Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad (MPSP) in 2032, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath urged institution heads to begin preparations for a grand and historic celebration. He recalled that the Parishad, founded in 1932 to revive education and uphold national values in eastern Uttar Pradesh, has upheld the visionary legacy of Mahant Digvijaynath Ji Maharaj and Mahant Avedyanath Ji Maharaj. “By 2032, we must establish MPSP institutions as a national model,” he said, directing the immediate formulation of detailed action plans.
Present at the review meeting were senior members of the Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad, including Ramjanm Singh, Shailendra Pratap Singh, and Pramathnath Mishra; Vice Chancellor of Mahayogi Gorakhnath University, Dr. Surinder Singh; Registrar, Dr. Pradeep Kumar Rao; and Principal of Digvijaynath Postgraduate College, Dr. Om Prakash Singh, among others.
