Orange Alert in Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, and Western Ghats of Pune and Satara High Wave Warning Issued for Konkan Coast Until June 25, 8:30 PM

Mumbai : The State Emergency Operations Centre has reported that the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) has issued a high wave alert along the Konkan coastline from 5:30 PM today until 8:30 PM on June 25, 2025. Fisherfolk and small boat operators have been advised not to venture into the sea during this period.

An Orange Alert has been declared for the next 24 hours in Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, and the ghat regions of Pune and Satara due to the forecast of heavy rainfall. The flood situation in the state remains under control, according to the State Emergency Operations Centre.

In the past 24 hours (up to the morning of June 23, 2025), Palghar district recorded the highest rainfall at 73.3 mm, followed by Sindhudurg (36.4 mm), Ratnagiri (25.8 mm), Thane (14.3 mm), and Kolhapur (13.9 mm).

The State Emergency Operations Centre also reported two rain-related fatalities:

  • One person drowned in a stream in Thane district,
  • Another drowned in a river in Pune district.
